More people are opting for cosmetic operations to alter their physical appearance. There are two reasons behind this tendency including the desire to correct physical deformities and enhancing their self-esteem. However, I believe that it has detrimental impacts on people’s physical and mental well-being.
To commence with, there are two driving factors why more individuals tend to undergo plastic surgery. Chief of these is that some want to address their physical imperfections. More specifically, some people have congenital defects or acquired deformities due to injuries or illnesses and may want to undergo surgery to correct these conditions. Another justification is that they wish to boost their self-esteem. By undergoing procedures such as breast augmentation, nose reshaping or liposuction, people can feel more confident about themselves when it comes to their appearance. As such, they can be motivated to have conversations with others or participate in the entertainment industry.
Nevertheless, I maintain that this propensity has several drawbacks. Most noticeably, people’s physical health can be adversely affected. This is because cosmetic surgery carries a number of risks, including infection, scarring and complications from anesthesia. Therefore, people could suffer from these potential threats, deteriorating their well-being. A case in point is the Brazilian model Andressa Urach, who suffered life-threatening complications after receiving injections of hydrogel to enhance her buttocks. The injections led to a severe infection that spread to her legs, and she required multiple surgeries and a lengthy hospital stay to recover. Furthermore, this trend can also have negative impacts on their mental health. Especially, when the decision to undergo cosmetic surgery stems from unrealistic beauty standards or societal pressure which constantly changes, people are likely to be obsessed with perfecting themselves and feel depressed as they consider that their altered appearance is not up to that standard.
In conclusion, a rising number of people prefer cosmetic surgery to transform their physical appearance since they yearn to correct physical deformities and boost their self-confidence. Nonetheless, I contend that it poses a threat to individuals’ holistic health. It is advisable that only deformities that affect individuals’ well-being should be corrected and elective surgeries require counseling beforehand to avoid unnecessary mental trauma.

The popularity of cosmetic surgery has increased in recent years, with more and more individuals opting to undergo surgical procedures to alter their physical appearance. This essay will examine some of the possible reasons for this trend and evaluate whether it is a positive or negative development.
There are several reasons why people choose to undergo cosmetic surgery. One of the main reasons is to improve their self-esteem and confidence. By altering their physical appearance, individuals may feel more comfortable in their own skin and gain greater self-assurance in their daily lives. Another reason is to conform to societal beauty standards. For example, many young women and girls may feel pressure to have a small waist, curvy hips, and a large bust, as this body type is often promoted on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. With the rise of social media and celebrity culture, there is increasing pressure to have a certain body type or facial features.
However, this trend toward cosmetic surgery raises ethical concerns. In my opinion, it promotes a narrow and unrealistic definition of beauty, and individuals should be encouraged to accept and embrace their natural appearance. Additionally, there are potential health risks associated with cosmetic surgery. For instance, there have been cases of individuals who developed life-threatening infections after undergoing cosmetic surgery.
In my opinion, while cosmetic surgery can be beneficial for some individuals, it is ultimately a negative development. The pressure to conform to beauty standards and the potential risks associated with these procedures outweigh the benefits of improved self-esteem.

People worldwide increasingly opt for plastic surgery to enhance their appearance, a trend fueled by the societal emphasis on beauty standards. However, I believe this development is negative as it can harm a person's health.
Cosmetic procedures are in high demand because people want to meet society's expectations for beauty. Those with ideal facial features or body shapes have advantages in social and professional settings. Some professions, such as acting and flight attending, are especially concerned with physical appearance. Even in other job vacancies, recruiters and HR representatives may eliminate candidates who do not meet beauty standards before assessing their skills or experience. In Korea, where appearance is particularly important, plain-looking citizens not only face difficulties in securing jobs but also appearance-based discrimination.
While plastic surgery can offer benefits, it also poses physical and psychological risks. Complications such as infection, scarring, and post-anesthetic issues are common. In severe cases, patients may experience facial dysmorphia, cardiovascular or respiratory complications, or even death. Patients may also become dissatisfied with the results, leading to body dysmorphia disorder, a mental health condition in which they become overly preoccupied with perceived flaws in their appearance. They may also suffer from depression and anxiety or become addicted to plastic surgery, all of which contribute to poor mental health.
In conclusion, the pressure to conform to beauty standards has led to the popularity of the cosmetic surgery industry. However, indulging in plastic beauty can have a negative impact on people's health. Therefore, this trend should be monitored and controlled.

These days, it is becoming more and more common for people to have cosmetic surgery in an attempt to enhance their appearance. There are several reasons why this trend is becoming more and more popular, and although there are several risks involved with undergoing this type of procedure, I believe it is a positive development overall.
Firstly, there are a number of reasons why people are choosing to have plastic surgery procedures. The most common reason today is to enhance one’s appearance in order to boost their self-esteem and feel more confident and happier within themselves. Whether someone is unhappy about the size of their breasts, the shape of their nose, or the way their skin has lost its youthful appearance, plastic surgery has helped millions of people around the world to feel better about themselves and their appearance. By undergoing cosmetic surgery, people are regaining their self-confidence and leading happier lives as a result, which I believe is a very positive development.
Moreover, undergoing cosmetic surgery for aesthetic purposes is not the only reason driving this recent trend. Thanks to the development of cosmetic surgery techniques, doctors are now able to help people with physical conditions that are negatively impacting their health. For example, there are people suffering from obesity who cannot lose weight, despite dieting and exercise, and in such cases, liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that will help these people lose weight and improve the quality of their life by allowing them to be more active. Furthermore, there are many women who choose to have a breast reduction, as the weight of their breasts can cause severe back problems.
In conclusion, although there have been cases where plastic surgery has been detrimental, overall, I believe that whether it is used to help improve one’s appearance and self-confidence, or simply to improve their physical health, it is helping to improve the lives of millions of people around the world.

In recent years, more and more individuals are in favor of cosmetic surgery as a way to enhance their physical appearance and overall health. Personally, I believe that this is a negative phenomenon and will provide my perspective in the essay below.
There are many rationales behind the inclination towards plastic surgery among the public. Firstly, a large number of them, especially the numerous artists working in the fashion industry and show business, decided to alter their appearance for career progression purposes. For instance, many globally famous singers have rapidly climbed the career ladder ever since their successful plastic surgeries. Secondly, some kinds of cosmetic surgery could significantly promote one’s overall health. To illustrate, weight loss surgery can help seriously obese patients avoid major illnesses such as diabetes or cardiovascular diseases, contributing to their physical and mental well-being.
Despite a considerable rise in the number of cosmetic surgeries over the past few years, I believe that it is an adverse development with various consequences. One of them is the detrimental effects on one’s health if a surgery is not properly conducted. Specifically, these operations often involve several potential risks of complications such as infections or scarring, which may exacerbate people’s health conditions or even threaten their life. In addition, a surge in cosmetic surgery has seemingly fueled the masses’ desire for this form of appearance alteration, possibly leading to addiction and further related dangers. For example, some have reportedly experienced major anxiety or even depression due to their obsession with flawless beauty. This, in turn, has hindered them from maintaining many personal relationships and engaging in normal daily activities.
To recapitulate briefly, the trend towards cosmetic surgery can spring from the desire for an aesthetically beautiful appearance and improved health. However, it is my firm conviction that these operations are an adverse development in our current life due to their wide range of potential health risks, the possibility of harmful addiction as well as the resultant issues with real-life relationships and everyday activities.

Technology is undeniably convenient. It indeed makes a revolution in any field available, which also includes cosmetics. There are myriad reasons behind the rise in the number of cosmetic surgeries. It also depends on many different purposes to be able to categorize reasons. For those who have just experienced unnecessary accidents, plastic surgery is reasonable. Those with inherent appearance want to go for plastic surgery to be more confident, more captivating, and more in line with the beauty standards of each era. From my perspective, although it is admitted to being useful for those in need, it is still a potential hazard that needs to be overcome.
To begin with, there are several causes provoking people to have cosmetic surgery. First of all, there are people choosing to make body enhancements with the help of plastic or cosmetic surgeons because they are deemed necessary. Namely, those who undergo undesirable incidents such as acid attacks, car accidents, and severe burns that harshly affect their physical appearance make them look unappealing, terrifying, and easily alienated. These kinds of people are left with no choice but to undertake surgery. They need that help to have a more pleasing appearance and rebuild their self-esteem. Secondly, the present world has become very materialistic. People tend to pursue formations younger than their actual age. At the same time, celebrities for the sake of looking attractive experience surgeries to modify their facial components. As a result, their followers tend to walk in their footsteps leading to a rise in the number of cosmetic surgeries. Lastly, people choosing this kind of beauty operation are those who suffer from discrimination and body-shaming. Researchers have ascertained that 90% of married women in Vietnam seeking for this type of enhancing appearance as a result of their husbands’ apathy.
Correspondingly, there are numerous pitfalls of undergoing cosmetic surgeries. As a rule, such decisions can lead to extreme regrets if the surgery fails or there are postoperative complications. A lot of evidence has been delivered, and many people have admitted that their skin becomes more swollen, red or sensitive after plastic surgery. More importantly, some symptoms get worse which can lead to skin cancer or more destructive, death. A recent survey reported a greater number of skin cancers in those people who had plastic surgeries than those who did not. Furthermore, people lose their natural appearance and wear artificial masks of beauty. Simultaneously, millions of dollars are spent for regularly undergoing treatment for proper maintenance of skin. This is also considered a burden on the pockets of the common masses.
To conclude, I will state that plastic surgery has been proven to convey a lot of negative effects to the masses. It glorifies people by demonstrating how important looks are in life causing men and women alike to flock in search of the so-called “perfect beauty”. Meanwhile, humans ought to understand that we should be familiar with different types of beauty rather than learning by some standard that is supposed to be correct without proof. Plastic surgery should be restricted to those who really need it or have certain casualties.

Cosmetic surgery was once considered a bizarre idea, but in recent years, a growing number of people have seen it as a way to foster their self-image, as pointed out in the discussion below. Meanwhile, it is worth noticing that this trend can have unpleasant consequences.
In recent decades, along with the development of the service sector, the notion that a good-looking appearance can enhance career opportunities has also increased in popularity. However, not everyone is lucky enough to possess natural beauty, hence cosmetic surgery has come into fashion as a powerful support for those less fortunate. Furthermore, it is also commonly believed that attractive individuals have significantly less difficulty maintaining romantic relationships. This view is held especially by some married women, who often blame unattractive looks as an obvious and, sometimes, primary cause of adultery and divorce, for instance.
While it is hard to say whether this development is completely beneficial or detrimental, it can be said with certainty that health risks are unavoidable. Among the examples of hazards associated with plastic surgery are hematoma and infection. Moreover, this approach also requires substantial amounts of time and money due to its high demand for medical safety. Plastic surgery, like any other form of surgery, must be conducted by qualified doctors and necessitates modern equipment as well as scientific treatment plans. As a result, it is no wonder that cosmetic surgery is usually expensive and time-consuming.
In conclusion, cosmetic surgery is believed to help pave the way for success in both career and romance and, therefore, promote self-image. Nevertheless, one must be aware that plastic surgery, albeit a popular trend, can lead to health risks as well as considerable consumption of time and budget.

In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the number of people opting for cosmetic surgery. This essay will explore the reasons behind this trend and discuss whether it represents a positive or negative development. One primary reason individuals undergo cosmetic surgery is to enhance their self-esteem. In a society that often equates beauty with success, altering physical features to fit societal standards can significantly boost an individual’s confidence and social acceptance. For instance, surgeries like breast augmentation or rhinoplasty are frequently sought to align with contemporary beauty ideals, providing a sense of belonging and self-worth.
Moreover, the aging population seeks to maintain a youthful appearance through cosmetic interventions. Procedures such as facelifts and botox injections are common among older adults striving to reduce the visible effects of aging. This desire is partly driven by ageism in the workforce, where younger-looking individuals are often perceived as more energetic and efficient. Consequently, cosmetic surgery can offer both personal satisfaction and professional advantages.
However, the increasing prevalence of cosmetic surgery is not devoid of concerns. The risks associated with surgical procedures, such as complications and the possibility of addiction to cosmetic enhancements, are significant. Furthermore, this trend perpetuates unrealistic standards of beauty, contributing to widespread body dissatisfaction and mental health issues among the population. The societal pressure to undergo potentially hazardous procedures to achieve an often-unattainable appearance can be viewed as a negative development.
In conclusion, while cosmetic surgery can provide substantial benefits in terms of improved self-esteem and social perceptions, it also poses serious risks and societal challenges. The trend highlights a concerning shift towards valuing appearance over inherent qualities and abilities. Therefore, it is crucial to foster a culture that prioritizes genuine self-acceptance and celebrates diverse forms of beauty, mitigating the perceived necessity for cosmetic alteration.

The decision to undergo cosmetic surgery is increasingly prevalent as individuals seek to enhance their aesthetic appeal. This essay explores the rationale behind this growing trend and considers whether this is a positive or negative development.
The primary motivation leading individuals to consider cosmetic surgery is the quest to boost their self-confidence. In contemporary society, the media and societal norms heavily emphasize the importance of physical appeal, driving many to modify their appearance in order to meet these established benchmarks. For example, an individual may decide to have rhinoplasty, if they have spent years feeling insecure about their nose. The outcome of the surgery could provide them with an elevated sense of self-assurance, thus improving their overall life satisfaction.
Notwithstanding these factors, the surge in cosmetic surgery might be met with doubt. While it offers people the liberty to change their bodies, possibly enhancing their self-assurance, it is also a double-edged sword. The societal emphasis on physical attractiveness could erode self-esteem, particularly for those who lack the financial means for such procedures. Besides, surgeries inherently involve health hazards, like complications after the operation or discontent with the outcome, which could aggravate the mental health issues they intended to address.
In conclusion, while cosmetic surgery may offer a pathway to enhanced self- confidence, it's crucial to weigh these benefits against the potential drawbacks. Fostering a more inclusive perception of beauty, one that celebrates diversity in appearances, would be a healthier approach. Cosmetic surgery should not be seen as the ultimate remedy to issues related to self-esteem, and due care should be taken to assess the potential risks involved.

In recent times, the allure of cosmetic surgery has captivated a growing multitude, as individuals fervently seek to enhance their aesthetic appeal. This phenomenon is rooted in the desire to align one’s external image with internal self-perception or societal standards of beauty. This essay posits that while the pursuit of cosmetic enhancements stems from a variety of motivations, its implications can be both positive and negative, depending on the context and outcomes.
Primarily, the drive towards cosmetic surgery is fueled by an intrinsic desire for self-improvement and confidence building. In a society where physical appearance significantly influences social interactions and professional opportunities, individuals may view cosmetic surgery as a gateway to enhanced self-esteem and societal acceptance. For instance, reconstructive surgery after accidents or for congenital anomalies can offer profound psychological relief and a sense of normalcy. Moreover, the advent of social media has exacerbated the pressure to conform to idealized beauty standards, prompting many to seek surgical alterations as a means to mirror these often-unattainable benchmarks.
However, the inclination towards cosmetic surgery is not devoid of its drawbacks. It perpetuates a superficial societal value system, where worth and success are disproportionately attributed to physical appearance, thus undermining the importance of inner qualities and diversity. Furthermore, the industry's commercialization risks trivializing the serious medical interventions involved, potentially leading to unrealistic expectations and dissatisfaction. The psychological dependency on cosmetic procedures for self-worth can also cultivate a negative body image and detract from the development of healthier self-esteem building strategies.
In conclusion, cosmetic surgery is complex, driven by self-improvement desires and societal pressures. It has benefits for overcoming physical issues but risks reinforcing shallow norms and unhealthy dependencies. Caution and thoughtful consideration of motivations are crucial to ensure it serves personal development positively.

In contemporary society, the popularity of cosmetic surgery is increasing as more and more people seek to enhance their physical appearance. While some argue that this trend is problematic, I believe that cosmetic surgery can positively impact an individual's quality of life. By boosting self-confidence and self-esteem, individuals can experience a more positive outlook on life.
The motivations for seeking cosmetic surgery are diverse. One reason is the societal pressure to conform to unrealistic and unattainable beauty standards. The media often presents an idealized image of beauty, which can make individuals feel compelled to try to look like these images to gain acceptance from society. Another reason is to address physical features that individuals may feel self-conscious about, such as a crooked nose or sagging skin.
Cosmetic surgery can have a profound impact on an individual's self-esteem and confidence. When people feel good about their physical appearance, they are more likely to feel good about themselves and their abilities. For instance, a person who undergoes liposuction to remove excess fat may feel more confident in their body, leading them to pursue activities they previously avoided. Additionally, cosmetic surgery can improve mental health by reducing anxiety and depression related to one's appearance.
Although there are potential risks associated with cosmetic surgery, such as complications during the procedure and unrealistic expectations, these risks can be mitigated by selecting a qualified and experienced surgeon and having realistic expectations about the outcome. It is important to recognize that cosmetic surgery is not a cure for deeper emotional issues and should not be pursued as such. Instead, it should be seen as a tool to help individuals feel more confident and happier with their physical appearance.
In conclusion, cosmetic surgery can have a positive impact on an individual's quality of life by boosting self-esteem and confidence. While the decision to undergo cosmetic surgery is a personal one, it is important to approach it with a realistic mindset and to select a reputable surgeon. By doing so, individuals can enhance their physical appearance and experience a more positive outlook on life.

In today's society, there is a growing trend of individuals opting for cosmetic surgery to enhance their physical appearance. While some may argue that this is a negative development, I believe that cosmetic surgery can have a positive impact on a person's quality of life. By improving their physical appearance, individuals can boost their self-confidence and self-esteem, leading to a more positive outlook on life.
People have various reasons for wanting to change their appearance. One reason is the societal pressure to conform to beauty standards that are often unrealistic and unattainable. The media portrays images of what is considered beautiful, and people often feel compelled to try to look like these images to be accepted by society. Another reason is to address physical imperfections that cause individuals to feel self-conscious and unhappy with their appearance. For instance, a person with a crooked nose may choose to undergo rhinoplasty to correct the issue and feel more confident in their appearance.
Cosmetic surgery can have a positive impact on an individual's quality of life by boosting their self-esteem and confidence. When a person feels good about their appearance, they are more likely to feel good about themselves and their abilities. For example, a person who undergoes breast augmentation may feel more confident in their body, leading them to pursue activities they previously avoided due to a lack of confidence. Additionally, cosmetic surgery can improve an individual's mental health by reducing anxiety and depression related to their appearance.
While there are potential risks associated with cosmetic surgery, such as complications during the procedure and unrealistic expectations, these risks can be minimized by choosing a qualified and experienced surgeon and being realistic about the outcome. Moreover, it is crucial to recognize that cosmetic surgery is not a solution for deeper emotional issues and should not be pursued as such.
In conclusion, while some may view cosmetic surgery as a negative development, I believe that it can have a positive impact on an individual's quality of life by boosting their confidence and self-esteem. As with any medical procedure, it is essential to be informed and make an informed decision. Ultimately, the choice to undergo cosmetic surgery should be a personal one, made after careful consideration of the potential benefits and risks.

Recently, more people have expressed a desire for cosmetic surgery because they wish to improve their appearance. In my view, it is a benefit to their quality of life since cosmetic surgery enhances one's appearance, which ultimately can increase one's confidence.
Most people have cosmetic surgery to improve their look in order to boost their confidence. In reality, it is not uncommon for people to worry about how others may see them; these external assessments can harm a person's mental health and sense of self. For instance, whether they are young children at school or older professionals in their workplace, if someone is bullied or ignored because of their appearance, it negatively affects their other elements of life. As a result, people are choosing cosmetic surgery more frequently in an effort to improve their looks and hence, their quality of life.
People who have undergone cosmetic surgery are more at ease with their outward appearance since it enhances their feeling of newly found self-worth and helps them lead confident lives. With a more positive outlook, kids may focus more on other positive aspects of their lives rather than wallowing in sadness brought on by bullies and unkind remarks. They may live their lives to the fullest and talk about how they overcame obstacles by having surgery. Therefore, cosmetic surgery is a ground-breaking invention that may transform people's perceived low self-esteem into an increased sense of confidence.
To sum up, I think cosmetic surgery is unquestionably a good thing since it may help people maintain their dignity by boosting their self-esteem via a better look.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable rise in the number of individuals opting for cosmetic surgery as a means of enhancing their physical appearance. While some argue that this is a positive development, others claim that it is a negative trend. This essay will examine the underlying reasons behind this phenomenon and explore whether it has a beneficial or detrimental impact on society.
The desire to change one's physical appearance stems from various factors. Firstly, social pressure to conform to societal beauty standards has led many individuals to believe that they must attain a certain look to be deemed attractive and successful. Secondly, some people may choose cosmetic surgery to address physical imperfections that cause them to feel self-conscious or unhappy with their appearance. Finally, the media's emphasis on physical beauty has significantly contributed to the trend, with many people aspiring to resemble the images they see in magazines and on social media.
While some may view cosmetic surgery as a positive development, it is important to consider the potential negative impacts of this trend. Firstly, it perpetuates the notion that physical appearance is the most crucial aspect of an individual's worth, which can lead to further insecurity and unhealthy body image issues. Additionally, cosmetic surgery is often costly and can be physically and emotionally taxing on the individual undergoing the procedure. Furthermore, it reinforces the idea that conformity to societal beauty standards is necessary for success, which can be a damaging message to promote.
In conclusion, while the desire to change one's physical appearance is understandable, it is essential to recognize the potential negative effects of this trend. Society should shift its focus towards promoting self-love and acceptance rather than perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards. While cosmetic surgery may have some positive effects, such as boosting an individual's self-esteem, it is important to consider the potential negative impacts on individuals and society as a whole.
An increasing number of people are choosing cosmetic surgery to change their appearance - mẫu 15
It is irrefutable that the cosmetic and plastic surgery industry has soared in popularity across the globe in recent years. This can be ascribed to a number of factors, and I believe it is a negative trend.
The desire for plastic surgery often arises from the insecurity that people feel about how they look. Many individuals tend to criticize their physical figures when comparing their image to an ideal body frame, often celebrities that are portrayed by the media. These public figures usually resort to surgical procedures in an attempt to boost their confidence level, and thus many youngsters follow in their footsteps to enhance their appearance. Another reason for people's preference for body augmentation is that the technical procedures used during cosmetic procedures continue to become safer and more reliable. In fact, there are procedures available now that simply would not have been possible a couple of decades ago. This, combined with the lack of self-confidence of many people, has led to the widespread use of plastic surgery.
Despite the potential benefits it can bring about, I am convinced that the tendency of numerous surgical operations is a negative development. Many people who have plastic surgery regret it later because they are not satisfied with how they look afterward. Consequently, they may undergo more operations to correct previous ones. Multiple operations, even when performed correctly. sometimes result in an overall unnatural and bizarre appearance, and thus people may suffer from distress and depression. In addition, since most of such surgeries are prohibitively expensive, it would be a considerable financial burden for many individuals. It, therefore, can be said that the adverse effects of this development can be both physical and financial.
In conclusion, low self-esteem related to appearance and the advanced technology in surgical operations are the main factors behind the greater demand for plastic surgeries. In my view, this is a negative trend as it brings more disadvantages than benefits to individuals.
