The development of technology has fostered various innovations. One of which is being able to enjoy entertainment performances at home from one’s laptop. From my point of view, even though watching concerts online offers viewers flexibility and comfort, attending a live performance has more benefits for the audience and performers.
On the one hand, online performances have their own advantages. To start with, people can save a lot of money and time from opting for shows’ online versions. Due to its minimal requirements - a screen-based device and internet connection, people can entertain themselves anywhere and anytime. Moreover, fees for online performances are significantly lower than for live ones, meaning that more people will get to see shows without having to pay handsomely. Furthermore, online performances allow people who cannot come to the show’s venue to still have fun. For example, during the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of performances from Kpop idols were broadcasted online, satisfying their fans’ need for entertainment.
On the other hand, advocates of live performances have grounds to believe that this will be more beneficial to both the artist and the viewer. First, only by watching live can the audience feel the atmosphere of the show, which is a vital factor in a performance’s appeal. Thanks to the crowd effect, people are more likely to gain more satisfaction and delirium compared to watching shows alone at home. A direct effect of this is that people can relieve stress and mental exhaustion at work, while strengthening bonds with their friends when they attend live shows together. As for artists, since a large portion of live shows’ audiences are people who love the atmosphere, therefore, when switching to performing on online platforms, the number of viewers and amount of profit will drop significantly.
All in all, despite the advantages that watching performances online can bring, admiring them in real life offers the audience irreplaceable experiences and performers can gain more handsome profits.

Some people question the necessity of experiencing a live performance when watching it at home on television is supposedly superior. While acknowledging why many people prefer the convenience of experiencing plays, concerts, and other events through their TV screens, I ultimately disagree that this is better than being present at a live show.
One can understand the appeal of viewing performances on television. One obvious benefit is that it allows people to avoid traveling, paying high ticket prices, and dealing with large crowds. When watching at home, viewers have the option to pause, rewind, or replay parts of the show as desired from their own living rooms, which would not be possible in a live setting. An additional advantage is that television offers close-up camera angles and editing that may provide a more intimate viewing experience than being seated far away at a live venue. This is especially true with today’s cutting-edge recording technology, which offers exceptionally good audio and video quality for audiences watching at home.
Despite these advantages, I believe there are even more compelling reasons why attending a live performance is superior. A key factor is the energy and atmosphere of being part of a live audience. At a live concert, there is an electric, communal experience of laughter, applause, and spontaneous reactions that simply cannot be replicated when watching through a screen. Live performances are also more authentic as they have an intensity, passion, and risk involving real human performers in the present moment. Even minor issues, whether they arise from technical errors or from the performers’ mistakes, can make each live show feel unique and genuine. Once aired on television, these moments are often refined or removed altogether, which can result in a more polished but significantly less authentic performance.
In conclusion, while the convenience and production quality of television viewings are notable benefits, they ultimately cannot match the unparalleled experience of attending a live performance in person. Specifically, the dynamism of live shows, coupled with their authenticity, make live attendance vastly preferable to merely watching at home.

It is argued by some that there is no longer any need to attend live performances, because watching them on TV or computer screens is even better. While this opinion is reasonable to an extent, I believe that going to live concerts gives us a much more immersive experience.
On the one hand, people who do not like to be in crowded places, and those who view shows merely as a form of relaxation, would most reasonably choose to watch concerts on TV. Firstly, being in noisy and crowded places causes some individuals to feel uncomfortable, making the option of watching concerts at home more appealing. Watching performances at home can also offer a pleasant experience thanks to the high-quality sounds and visual effects that today’s TVs come equipped with. Moreover, in today’s fast-paced and busy working culture, people are given fewer days off. Therefore, being able to set aside enough time and money to attend concerts has become something of a luxury that not many can afford, while enjoying shows at home is a more time-saving and convenient form of entertainment.
On the other hand, attending a live concert offers fans an unforgettable and collective entertainment experience unmatched by simply enjoying it from home. Elaborate stage setups and stunning lighting effects are crucial elements that enhance artists’ performances. This produces an electrifying atmosphere filled with excitement, passion and energy, creating lasting memories that TV broadcasts cannot fully capture. In addition, a sense of community and fulfillment can be built among those involved, as both fans and artists enjoy live shows together. This is exemplified by the popularity of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, which has attracted millions of fans worldwide to attend concerts in various countries.
In conclusion, people who are not able to attend concerts can enjoy the shows on high-tech TVs with vibrant colors and high-quality sound systems. However, going to concerts offers fans unique experiences and a feeling of belonging that cannot be replicated at home.

Many opine that the necessity of attending live performances, such as concerts, has been eradicated since TV or computers have facilitated the ability to watch this type of entertainment from home. Although the convenience that technology has brought is undeniable, I mostly disagree with this opinion since remote watching cannot replicate the experience and opportunities of social engagement of attending live performances.
The foremost justification for my opposition is based on the unparalleled sensory experience provided by attending live performances. Indeed, the energy and atmosphere of a live concert, the acoustics of a theater performance, or the ambiance of a sporting event are all aspects that can only be fully appreciated in person. The immersive nature of being physically present in the audience allows individuals to engage with the performance on a deeper level, fostering a sense of connection and emotional resonance that is often lacking in virtual viewing.
Furthermore, live performances offer opportunities for social interaction and community engagement. Specifically, attending events with friends, family, or fellow enthusiasts not only enhances the enjoyment of the performance but also fosters bonds and creates lasting memories. Additionally, live events often serve as cultural hubs where people from diverse backgrounds come together to celebrate shared interests and passions, contributing to a sense of belonging and unity within society.
Admittedly, I concede that watching live performances from home offers convenience and flexibility. With just a few clicks, individuals can access a wide range of performances from around the world without the hassles such as commuting, queuing for tickets, dealing with crowded venues, or even paying. This convenience is particularly beneficial for those with busy schedules or mobility restrictions, allowing them to enjoy cultural and entertainment experiences that were previously inaccessible.
In conclusion, although technology has made it feasible to appreciate live performances from home, I predominantly disagree that it negates the importance of attending such events. While acknowledging the convenience of remote viewing, the unique experience of being physically present remains irreplaceable, including the sensory immersion and the social interactions that are integral to a human's life.

In the digital age, the convenience and quality of watching performances on TV or computer screens have improved significantly, leading some to believe that attending live shows is no longer necessary. However, while technology offers high-quality viewing experiences, it cannot fully replicate the unique atmosphere and emotional connection of live performances.
Firstly, live performances offer an irreplaceable atmosphere that screens cannot capture. The energy of a live audience, the immediacy of the performers, and the unrepeatable moments create a shared experience that enhances the enjoyment and emotional impact of the event. This collective participation fosters a sense of community and connection that is absent when watching alone on a screen.
Secondly, attending live performances supports artists and the arts industry directly. Live shows provide performers with essential income and feedback from their audience, which is crucial for their development and sustainability. Additionally, the presence of a live audience can inspire performers to deliver more passionate and engaging performances, enriching the overall experience for both the artists and the viewers.
In conclusion, while watching performances on TV or computer screens offers convenience and high-quality visuals, the unique atmosphere and direct support for artists make live performances irreplaceable. Experiencing live shows fosters a sense of community and ensures the continued vitality of the arts. Therefore, attending live performances remains a valuable and enriching experience that cannot be fully substituted by digital means.

In today's digital age, the accessibility of music performances has expanded beyond traditional live experiences. While some argue that enjoying a music performance on a screen is superior to watching it in person, I firmly disagree. In this essay, I will present compelling arguments to support my viewpoint.
There are certain reasons why attending a live performance is an unparalleled experience that cannot be replicated by watching a recorded version. Firstly, the combination of the vibrant atmosphere, abundant energy, and direct interactions between performers and the live audience can create a truly immersive experience that transcends everyday life. Performing artists can easily generate an electrifying ambiance filled with palpable excitement and raw emotions that can only be fully experienced in person. This attraction can be demonstrated by the roaring cheers and applause of a crowd at a concert or the gasps and laughter of an audience at a comedy show. Secondly, live events tend to foster deeper connections among people. Whether it is a gathering of like-minded fans, close friends, or even family members, going to an in- person show together enables people to forge stronger bonds through shared interests and collective enjoyment. These occasions not only allow individuals to appreciate art in its most authentic form but also provide an avenue for meaningful connections with others, resulting in indelible memories.
Nevertheless, it is true that enjoying entertainment shows in one's familiar space can bring a level of comfort that is also hard to match. Without the need to line up, fight for a seat, or be at the mercy of the weather, watching a concert in the cozy space of one's own home while dressed in comfortable clothing can be a relaxing and private experience, free from the distractions and discomforts of a public venue.
In conclusion, I believe that despite the convenience of watching from home, the magic of a live show remains unmatched.
