If people are not conscious enough about their career ladders and choose to be unemployed, they will never attain those satisfying dream positions because through the eyes of the recruiters or managers, they lack experience or credentials to deserve those titles. Hence, for many careerists, current jobs serve as a steppingstone towards a more lucrative and enjoyable role. Last but not least, it is observed that people tend to have unrealistic descriptions about what their enjoyable jobs should be. This is largely due to the fact that most people who lack work experience have yet to firmly grasp a realistic understanding of what their current surroundings are. For example, in many developing or underdeveloped countries, citizens are struggling with trying to get clean water or enough food for the day. Moreover, even in developed countries, the realities of class discrimination. Nepotism, favoritism, political unrest and economic collapses, as already seen in the past, can affect the ability to even keep those dream positions. As a result, while being hopeful and positive about wanting a dream job is encouraged, people should retain a realistic understanding of the world, or at least, where they are living and working.

In conclusion, it is evident that working in a job that people have no interest or satisfaction in is more detrimental to a corporation. As manufacturers can face financial losses and workers do not make an effort for a company’s prosperity, this attitude can ruin any firm.

To conclude, despite facing problems such as an uncomfortable work environment, we should work to survive and live our lives in this fast-paced world. We can also focus on our passions to manage our stress.

This can negatively impact on their future professional development.

On the other hand, I feel that having a job sometimes is more pragmatic than just sitting to wait for other job opportunities. This is because people are not always certain about their strengths and latent talents, which are discovered when they do a new job and challenge themselves. For instance, at first my sister thought that she would quit her initial job after one year, but she changed her mind when she was familiar and happy with her job. Additionally, being unemployed and ignoring chances to find a job appear to be insecure. Having a job at least can fulfill their basic needs. Otherwise, they may be depressed if they just aim for a particular kind of job and cannot meet the goal.

In conclusion, I believe that between having a job people do not like and being unemployed, they should take serious considerations before making an option.

It helps create a structured routine, forms a platform for social interactions, and builds a sense of achievement in people. All of these factors play an important role in maintaining mental health and overall well-being. On the other hand, if one remains unemployed it builds a feeling of worthlessness and depression. As a consequence, an individual may experience social isolation since he would lack possible ways of interaction with others.

To conclude, while job satisfaction is important, it is never a reason to stay unemployed. Instead, one must seek employment to provide oneself with financial security and a sense of purpose in life. These aspects are more important to one’s well-being than choosing to stay unemployed and waiting for a pleasant opportunity.

To state this, during the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployed individuals were unwilling to work in the hospitality industry, which created labour shortages, hindered economic progress and led to long-term negative effects on society and the economy. Thus, working in industries that may not be fulfilling will at least lead to overall economic stability.

In conclusion, while it is understandable to want to work in a job that one enjoys, being unemployed is not a viable alternative. Having a job, even one that is not ideal, provides a range of benefits that cannot be obtained by being out of work. Therefore, I strongly disagree with the notion that being unemployed is preferable to being in a job that one does not enjoy.
