It is alleged that the bulk of the population is fearful of venturing outside their homes due to the high prevalence of crimes. This has been a contentious issue, with some people asserting that more needs to be done to avert lawlessness, while others feel that hardly anything can be done to cease such heinous acts. I agree with the former and opine that more deterrent measures need to be implemented to put an end to most atrocities.

Firstly, introducing rehabilitative measures rather than employing punitive action against criminals can actually deter them from committing crimes in the future. An example of this would be the penitentiary system in Norway which focuses on treating inmates with mutual respect and allowing them a chance at a better life, which has drastically reduced crime rates in Norway, with only one in five offenders committing repeat offences. Therefore, giving convicts a second chance at life through such measures can prove immensely beneficial in the long run.

Secondly, introducing community programs such as setting up a neighbourhood watch and holding anti-violence programs can be effective measures for reducing crime. Introducing mentorships to young people and offering them alternative occupations can dissuade them from engaging in unlawful activities.

However, some people are proponents of not taking any direct steps to reduce crime. In their perspective, sole individuals are powerless to stop the prevalence of crime. They also believe that those who have decided to break laws have done so on their accord, and others cannot steer them away from the path of crime.

In conclusion, it can be said that taking active steps towards the prohibition of criminal transgressions, rather than passively avoiding taking any action, can help build a better society and allow people to travel outside their homes without the fear of being a victim of crimes.

The popularity of crime today has made people stay indoors for self-protection. While it is a common belief that reducing the crime rate is a nearly impossible mission, I hold the view that there are certain measures which can convert the world into a safer place to live in.

On the one hand, many people argue that in such current era of moral decadence, any attempts to prevent crime would turn out to be a failure. Poverty and unemployment are considered chief precursors to law violation, and only when these two social issues are eliminated will crime disappear. However, it is true that a society can only provide a limited number of jobs for its residents, and those who are not lucky enough to receive good education from childhood would find it difficult to pursue a career to make ends meet. Such individuals are lack of both skills and orientation, and from their perspective, becoming a thief might be a better way to survive compared to unstably living on governmental subsidies or performing menial work. It seems that the root of this problem cannot be solved completely, and this is why how to halt law-breaking may remain as an insurmountable question for the government.

On the other hand, I am of the opinion that there are still solutions to maintain criminal justice. Firstly, stricter sets of laws are required, and the penalties should be corresponding to the severity of the wrongdoings. In a variety of countries, such as the United Kingdom or Italy, the capital punishment has been abandoned; but I believe it should be reintroduced as the fear of death may deter the potential offenders and stop them from committing serious crime. Secondly, the government should encourage companies and organizations to expand and run more projects. These actions create jobs; therefore, those who live under the poverty line not only do not have to become pickpockets or burglars for survival but also stand a chance to earn a living with their own clean money.

In conclusion, I believe that the aforementioned measures can create more peaceful communities and ensure

It is quite obvious that the rate of crimes is increasing day by day in all societies in the world, but I personally do believe that there are a lot which can be done by both the governments and the individuals to reduce the crimes in communities.

A lot of important measures, on the one hand, can be taken by the governments in order to reduce or even eradicate different types of crimes. First, governments can introduce more police forces everywhere to monitor people s activities and stop them from committing crimes. Second, the state can apply new technologies such as surveillance cameras in the streets, shopping centers, restaurants and all public places to cease criminals. Third, strict punishments on criminals can have really preventive and deterrent effects on all age groups in society, so by using harsh penalties like emprisonment, physical or financial punishments the rate of crimes can be decreased.

On the other hand, individuals in societies can be of great help to cut down on the number of crimes being committed. To my mind, the overwhelming majority of people tend to participate in activities assisting the government to keep the society a safe place for their own families and the others and for all age groups. Take as an example, most people by reporting the problems to police can play an indispensable role in crime-prevention activities. In addition, when people themselves care about decreasing heinous crimes in cities, it can be sort of a preventive action to harness well the situation in society by government as well.

To conclude, in order for a society to be a safe place to live in, all society members including the governments and people must take necessary measurements to keep it a crime-free place.

In this modern era, many kinds of crime have occured in the society specifically robbering or stealing in the street or even in the house which makes people worry to go ouside longer and they prefer to stay at home. For this case, I believe that dwellers have opportunity to take preventive ways by providing technology security and socializing with the neighbours and the community.

The high frequency of criminal cases in daily life such as perpetrating the crime in the public areas influences the citizens to protect themselves by living in the house and some members of community feel that there is nothing to do to reduce this problem. The reason is because the doer of crime seldom commits his action alone, but they are in a group. For example, several bad young people try to conspire doing an abduction to women, and then, they divide the duties for everybody among them to run their aims well. As a result, the women become victims of the case. This will make society have fret to do something outside.

However, there are some solutions to tackle the crime that always happens in the society. Firstly, security. The household has to set up the security camera or rent the security men at home and it is also must be done by government to put the CCTV in the street or the area which many people have passed through there. Secondly, socializing with neighbours. The police have to patrol routinely and socialize to the community to work together in watching and reporting to the police for everything that looks the suspicious behaviours of strange people. All in all, if the authority get work together with all institutions in the region and the wached cam is installed in everywhere, the crime will decrease significantly.

To sum up, although some people hesitate about how to keep controlling the negative impacts of the criminal actions, I am absolutely convinced that the problem can be handled by putting camera on the risk areas of targeting crime and patrolling around the district. I also recommend that government should provide the facilities of security in public places.

Over recent decades, there has been an increasing fear of crime in many countries. Although some think that there is little that can be done to reduce the levels of crime, I believe there are measures that can be implemented.

Those that believe that nothing can be done hold this view for several reasons. Firstlly, they think that a fear of crime is a state of mind perpetuated by the media. For example, we are constantly bombarded with negative news stories about crime and violence on our streets. Thus, the belief is that whatever we do to reduce levels of crime, people will still be scared. Another belief is that crime is caused by wider structural issues in society that are too difficult to tackle, such as the growing income gap between the rich and the poor. Little then can be done about this issue in our capitalist societies.

However, I feel that there are solutions that will ensure people feel safer outside their homes. Governments can increase the numbers of police in local communities and more ‘neighbourhood watch’ schemes should be encouraged, both of which increase safety and deter crime. The media should also be encouraged to present more positive stories in the news about how crime is being tackled rather than the focus on the negative. In terms of the structural issues, governments should attempt to tackle issues of poverty through better income distribution.

To conclude, there is a widely held view that nothing can be done to prevent crime. In contrast to this opinion, I would argue that there are options available that would help prevent crime and therefore reduce the fear of crime.

Nowadays, an increasing number of people are afraid to venture out alone due to the fear of crime. While some argue that preventive measureshave little impact on lowering the crime rate significantly, others contend that proactive actions can effectively safeguard people's lives and properties. Personally, I strongly support the latter view.

There are convincing arguments in favor of taking effective measures to protect properties. Firstly, implementing security measures in advance, such as installing robust doors, serves as a deterrent to potential criminals. These precautions not only prevent break-ins but also send a clear message to potential offenders that homeowners have taken proactive steps against crime.

Moreover, in the unfortunate event of a home invasion, the presence of pre-installed security equipment, like alarm systems, can immediately alert the police, enabling swift response and intervention. Lastly, adopting necessary security measures instills a sense of safety in people when they are away from their homes. By reducing anxiety about potential intrusions, individuals can focus on their daily activities without constant worry.

However, it is important to acknowledge the potential drawbacks of existing security measures. Some security devices have been criticized for their low quality and vulnerability to being easily bypassed. Last year, over 200 types of substandard anti-theft systems were identified and exposed, leading to penalties imposed on the manufacturers.

In conclusion, while it is true that preventive measures cannot guarantee absolute safety from criminal intrusion, the benefits they bring far outweigh any potential drawbacks. Overall, I firmly believe that individuals should prioritize their awareness of security, while governments should enact and enforce relevant laws to regulate the quality of security systems.
