People have different views about whether technological advances deter or encourage crimes.

While technology does give birth to some new forms of crime, I believe that on the whole, it helps to decrease the crime rate.

It is true that the progress in technology has brought about new types of crimes. One major felony associated with it is cybercrime, which has caused millions of financial losses and drawn the attention of governments. For instance, hackers attack some company's database by using a computer virus called ransomware to encrypt important data and ask for ransom before giving the data back. Other cybercrimes include identity theft which could affect most ordinary people. Hackers attack social media companies and steal users' personal information such as name, date of birth, ID number, credit card number, etc. They then use these data to commit fraud such as applying for credit cards or medical services.

However, despite those cyber crimes mentioned above, I believe that generally speaking, modern technology has reduced the crime rate. Firstly, the surveillance cameras installed in public areas such as malls, streets and office buildings could serve as a deterrent that diverting people away from committing crimes. Secondly, thanks to the help of scientific advances such as DNA technology and many other modern technologies used in crime investigation, detectives nowadays can identify and locate crime suspects in a short period, which significantly reduced the number of criminals at large. Finally, by analyzing personal databases through prediction models, detectives now could arrest the potential offenders and stop them before the crime occurs, which is called crime prediction.

In conclusion, I believe the technology progress could contribute to the reduction of crimes. Yet, people should be educated to apply their technical skills in a productive way.

Advanced technology has improved many sections of folk's life, meanwhile, some of them believe that will decline the number of crimes, thus, there is another statement has said that criminals will find these technologies a good benefit to make offensive actions, who is the right in this argument, and that what we are going to discuss in this essay.

On the one hand, technology in terms of security has proved its ability to reduce the records of criminal activity in many developed countries. When we look at many industries such as banks, restaurants and tourism, we will find that people became safer with systems of supervising. For example: several countries are using systems of controlling citizens by planting chips in their bodies, then they will control everybody where and when is going. that's can successfully cut down the crime in their opinion.

On the other hand, we notice many users of the internet have been stolen by robbers because they were sharing some of their personal information with unknown people. So that encourages many theifs to scam and steal public's information such as banking accounts or other special files, although, many governments and institutions have developed many methods to protect their citizens, even though, hackers are still working to find other ways to treat people and make them petrified.

From my perspective, I honestly believe that technology has solved many problems in our life and it contributed to optimising the quality of service in general, by and large, there is some negative news about the bad use of this technology, but I sincerely hope that scientists will help people to save their privacy and they will ensure that the system of controlling crime will prove its efficiency.

While it's believed that technology development contributes to crimes' downward trend, others deem that it actually encourages more criminal activities. I indeed think that technology has a significant impact on limiting lawbreaking.

Despite being one of the surveillance tools and citizens' protection, some people still hold that technology has counterproductive results. In other words, new criminal types have been introduced to the world because of the internet. For example, cyber crimes have been expanding recently, from violating privacy to committing fraud since most of our work and credit cards are on devices. Therefore, the widespread adoption of technology has led to the birth of intelligent crimes and criminals; however, we can't turn a blind eye to its pivotal role in reducing the number of offences.

Thanks to the developed equipment, many crimes have been stopped. Advanced security systems, cameras, radars, and so on have all contributed to the oppression of offenders. For instance, people have to think twice before breaking the speed limit on the road because they know that there are radars that detect every traffic law violation. Moreover, big institutions like banks or even small shops are now using cameras for protection; thus, the number of robberies decreased in many countries because violaters know that everything is being recorded, so it won't take long for them to get arrested. Consequently, there are many good reasons why spreading technology should be encouraged to tackle criminal activities.

In conclusion, while some people hold that technological advances have created more crime opportunities, there are others, namely me, who believe that thanks to technology, manycrimes have been stopped even before happening and that the idea of being watched is feared by most lawbreakers, resulting in the crime rates decrease.

Many feel that the proliferation of technology deters crime, while others would contend the opposite to be the case. In my opinion, although the pervasive presence of illegal adverts online encourage crime to a certain extent, crime rates are significantly lower in the modern world due to advanced security measures in place.

Those who argue that technological advancement results in a rise in crime typically point to the potential for illegal online practices. Products and services offered online are often not subjected to strict regulations and therefore internet users can be exposed to advertisements that promote illegal activities. An illustrative example of this risk is banner ads shown on certain websites that entice viewers to engage in illegal gambling. This evolving problem is further compounded as these illegal sites usually target younger and more vulnerable audiences, potentially acting as a gateway to other illegal acts. There are overwhelming statistics indicating that early exposure to pornographic materials among children makes them more likely to engage in prostitution services as adults.

However, I would argue that technological progress largely prevents crime due to the rapid adoption of more advanced security measures. The installation of surveillance cameras and alarm systems discourages criminals from perpetrating crimes as the risk of being arrested is significantly greater. Recent research and surveys conducted have shown that the utilization of security cameras in locations such as supermarkets is an effective deterrence against shoplifting. These camera systems also facilitate the procedures for tracking repeat criminals. This tangible benefit can be illustrated in China, where cutting-edge cameras with facial recognition capabilities aids law enforcement in capturing suspects, thus effectively lowering crime rates.

In conclusion, despite the ubiquity of adverts that promote illegal gambling and prostitution, I would contend that technological breakthroughs mostly serve as deterrents to crime. Governments and individuals globally should implement camera systems on the vast majority of streets and private properties to most effectively reduce crime.

The impact of technological advancements on crime rates is a topic of considerable debate. While some argue that technology has curtailed crime through enhanced security measures, others contend that it has provided new avenues for criminal activities. This essay will explore both perspectives with relevant examples, particularly focusing on the context of Vietnam.

On one hand, it is undeniable that technology has contributed significantly to crime prevention. Innovations such as surveillance cameras, advanced locking systems, and sophisticated alarm devices have been integrated widely across Vietnam, from urban to rural areas, enhancing security in public and private spaces. For instance, the introduction of CCTV in Ho Chi Minh City has led to a notable decrease in street crime, as potential offenders are deterred by the increased likelihood of detection and subsequent prosecution. This data is often utilized in court to secure convictions, which reinforces the effectiveness of such technologies. If these tools were not in place, the rate of petty thefts and burglaries would presumably be much higher.

However, I believe that technology has also opened up new channels for criminals to exploit. The rise of the internet and digital platforms has led to sophisticated forms of cybercrime, which pose significant challenges for law enforcement agencies in Vietnam. Online scams, identity theft, and financial fraud have surged, exploiting the anonymity that digital environments provide. For example, many Vietnamese citizens have fallen victim to online investment frauds, which promise high returns on digital platforms but result in substantial financial losses. While it's true that technology aids in solving and preventing traditional crimes, its role in facilitating new types of crime cannot be ignored.

In conclusion, technology plays a dual role in relation to crime. While it undoubtedly strengthens law enforcement capabilities and enhances security, it also gives rise to new forms of criminal behavior that are difficult to control. Balancing these outcomes requires not only advanced technological solutions but also robust legal frameworks and continuous education of the populace about potential cyber threats. Therefore, it is crucial that as technology evolves, so too do the strategies to mitigate its adverse effects on crime.

Many today are of the belief that advances in technology have done more to combat, rather than aid, criminal behavior. In my opinion, although there are certain novel avenues now available to criminals related to online fraud, technology generally benefits law enforcement.

Those who argue as to the negative implications of technology on crime point out the increased prevalence of cybercrimes. These crimes range from online fraud and fishing schemes to political crimes and the selling of illicit substances. In the early stages of the internet, such crimes were common online and difficult for enforcement agencies to combat. As advances have spread, both law enforcement agencies and criminals have become more technologically-savvy. A clear example of this would be the occasional news article reporting on a large-scale theft of passwords that warns users to update passwords and be more wary of storing private information online.

However, the crimes mentioned above are rare and technological innovations now help prevent many crimes before they even occur. The strongest instance illustrating this point would be the deterrence resulting from security cameras in private and public spaces. Countries and cities that emphasize the value of these cameras over personal privacy concerns are significantly safer than unmonitored locations. A more specific example of this would be cameras that take photos of individuals speeding and send them speeding tickets through the mail or electronically. This simple and effective innovation can greatly reduce traffic infractions and as a result the number of accidents on a given road.

In conclusion, despite the marginal downsides related to exploitation of new technologies by a small percentage of total criminals, the deterrent effect of security cameras has made the world considerably safer. There is always a balance between safety and security that must be carefully maintained.

While some claim that technology improvements have reduced crime rates, others argue that they have facilitated the rise of new types of crime. I shall analyze both points of view and offer my personal viewpoint in this article.

Some believe advancements in technology have led to a decrease in crime rates. Security cameras and alarms act as deterrents in public spaces, and law enforcement utilizes sophisticated methods like fingerprinting and facial recognition to solve crimes quicker.

However, others argue that technology has also facilitated the rise of new crimes. Cybercriminals can exploit readily available personal information online, like credit card details. Even traditional crimes can be planned online, with criminals forming groups in social media to plan their crimes.

In conclusion, technology’s impact on crime is a double-edged sword. While it provides powerful tools for law enforcement, it also creates new avenues for criminal activity. To maximize the benefits while minimizing the risks, we need to ensure responsible development of technology alongside effective crime prevention measures.

While some people argue that technological advancements help reduce the number of criminal activities, others opine that it actually increases the crime rate. Personally, I side with the former as progress in technology has had a positive impact on the world's crime scene.

On the one hand, developments in technology have paved the way for an emerging kind of crime: cyber-crime. As most transactions nowadays are done via the Internet, thieves can hack into one’s account and tamper with online transactions, sending the money to his bank account instead of that of the actual recipient of the payment. A milder case would be information thievery, in which one’s personal information would be stolen and sold to a third party, who, in a positive case, are advertising companies, or to catfishes, in the worst-case scenario. For example, a number of frauds in Vietnam happened to middle-aged women, who were swindled out of millions by imposters acting as their children or relatives online.

On the other hand, technological advancements have helped solve cases faster and prevent criminal activities. First, high-tech gears and programs can help detect offenders effectively and in a timely manner. To illustrate, a 35-year-old cold case in Texas has just been solved using DNA technology. The 1986 murder was thought to be hopeless as no visible evidence was found, yet innovations in crime science has brought new and concrete proofs. Another use of technological developments is to prevent crimes. What this means is that through the use of technology, crime attempts can be deterred. For example, released convicts will usually be forced to wear a GPS tracking device. Thanks to this, many criminals have abandoned their recidivism plan as they could be easily sent back to jail.

To conclude, although there are sound arguments as to why technology developments can facilitate crimes, I believe that, in reality, it can help avert criminal activities.

The relationship between technology and crime is a contentious issue. While some people believe that technology development has led to a reduction in crime rates, others argue that it has actually encouraged criminal activities. Personally, I believe technology development has generally decreased crime rates. This essay will discuss both views.

On the one hand, proponents of the idea that technology development decreases crime suggest that technological advancements have improved law enforcement and security measures. For instance, the use of CCTV cameras and facial recognition software has helped to identify and track suspects. Additionally, technology development can decrease crime through the use of communication technology. Advanced communication technology enables law enforcement agencies to share information quickly and efficiently, improving their ability to prevent and solve crimes. For example, the use of police radios and mobile devices enables officers to communicate with each other in real-time, coordinate their efforts, and respond more quickly to emergency situations.

On the other hand, opponents argue that technology development has actually encouraged crime, as criminals have become more sophisticated in their methods. Cybercrime, for instance, has become a major problem in recent years, with criminals using the internet to commit a range of offenses, including identity theft, fraud, and hacking. Moreover, the availability of advanced technology, such as 3D printing, has made it easier for criminals to produce fake documents, weapons, and other illegal items.

In conclusion, the impact of technology on crime is a complex issue, and there are valid arguments on both sides. However, I believe that technology development has generally led to a reduction in crime rates. Nevertheless, it is important for society to continue to develop and utilize technology in the fight against crime.

Technology has greatly changed our society, particularly in how it influences crime. There are differing opinions on whether technology helps decrease crime or actually leads to more crime. On the whole, I believe that it has reduced crimes.

On one hand, I can understand why some people think that technology has increased crime. Firstly, the internet has become a playground for cybercriminals. New forms of crimes such as identity theft, online fraud, and unauthorized data breaches are on the rise. For example, consider a scam where someone receives an email that looks like it's from their bank asking for their account details. If they provide this information, the scammer can access their bank account and steal money. These kinds of crime are hard to trace and stop. Furthermore, technology evolves rapidly, which means that as soon as a new security measure is developed, criminals look for ways to bypass it.

However, I still think that technology plays a bigger role in reducing crime. One reason is that it has given us advanced cameras and security systems in both public and private spaces. These tools act as a deterrent, making potential criminals think twice before committing a crime. For instance, when thieves see cameras in a store, they may decide not to steal because they know they could be recorded and caught. Additionally, technology helps police and security forces become more efficient. Computers store large amounts of data on criminal activity, allowing police to access crucial information quickly. This efficiency helps in catching criminals faster, as law enforcement can identify suspects and respond to crime with greater speed and accuracy.

In conclusion, while technology can increase crime, I believe that it has led to a greater reduction in crime overall.
