First world countries are the most developed countries as opposed to 3rd world countries which are least developed. The financial gap between the two sides is increasing with every passing day. I strongly agree that developed nations have an ethical and moral obligation to support the underdeveloped countries in every possible way.
It is a known fact that the world economy is being controlled by developed countries. There exist forums like G8 which consist of top eight developed countries of the world. Global economic policies are being made during their meetings which drive the world economy. While making the policies at the highest stage of the world, members of developed countries should keep in mind the poverty in developing and underdeveloped countries. The wealth gap between the developed and developing countries can be reduced by making economic policies which are friendly and least hostile towards the developing countries.
Apart from the policies, it is also a moral and ethical duty of developed countries to support the underdeveloped countries. A development project in an underdeveloped country will not only provide a way of growth but also create many new jobs for the local public. Similarly, Governments and NGOs of the rich countries should provide financial aid in the field of education, health, energy, etc. This will also help in reducing the wealth gap along with the development of the poor and needy nation.
In the end, it is concluded that financial and wealth gaps can be reduced by making good economic policies, by investing in development projects and by providing financial aid. Rich countries and rich people should provide assistance to poor countries and poor people respectively.

In today’s society, it is undeniable that social status and material possessions often play a significant role in determining a person’s worth. However, I firmly believe that old-fashioned values such as honour, kindness, and trust still hold great importance and should not be overlooked.
It is true that in our modern world, people are often judged based on their social status and the material possessions they own. The pressure to keep up with the latest trends and to showcase one’s wealth has become increasingly prevalent, leading to the perception that a person’s value is directly linked to their material wealth. However, this mindset is shallow and fails to recognize the true essence of a person’s worth.
Old-fashioned values such as honour, kindness, and trust are timeless and should not be disregarded. These values are fundamental in building strong and meaningful relationships, fostering a sense of community, and promoting empathy and understanding. In a world that is constantly evolving and facing new challenges, these values serve as the foundation for a harmonious and compassionate society.
Furthermore, the importance of these old-fashioned values is evident in various aspects of life. For instance, in the workplace, trust and integrity are essential for maintaining a positive and productive work environment. In personal relationships, kindness and empathy are crucial for building strong and lasting bonds. These values not only shape individuals into better human beings but also contribute to the betterment of society as a whole.
In conclusion, while it is true that social status and material possessions often take precedence in today’s society, it is essential to recognize the enduring significance of old-fashioned values such as honour, kindness, and trust. These values are the pillars of a compassionate and empathetic society and should be upheld and celebrated. It is only by embracing these values that we can truly appreciate the worth of an individual beyond their material wealth.

Every day the rich countries in the world get richer and the poor countries get poorer. Can we reduce this gap? Of course we can. The question is whether the people in power want to do it?
Reducing the wealth gap can be achieved by cancelling third world debt, cancelling trade and farming subsidies so that third world countries can compete, getting rid of third world corruption and investing and building in third world countries using local people and skills and allowing them ownership of businesses. There are other things as well. Unfortunately, there is no profit in business for first world countries to do these things. Some will do them, but most will not. The ordinary man on the street wants things to be better for poorer countries and the politicians say that they will help but the politicians will in the end do what business tells them to do. Politicians also rightly feel they have a duty to protect their own countries and keeping economically dominant is part of this duty. Creating effective competition for their own country's businesses is not part of what they are expected to do.
This then leads on to whether I believe that developed countries have a duty to help the developing countries. Yes, I do. As an individual I believe that we have a duty to assist the poorer countries with their development in all aspects. We can provide teachers and education and doctors on the small scale and on the larger scale with the things that I have talked about in the previous paragraph. Can we do this? Yes. Will we do this? See the previous paragraph again.
In conclusion you can see that I believe that there is a split between what would happen in a perfect world and what actually happens. We have a duty to reduce the wealth gap between developed and developing countries and we can do it, but it is unlikely that this will happen quickly.
