In today's talk, I would like to present some ways to protect rhino populations.

You know, rhinos are at risk of being extinct due to massive poaching for horns because in some countries, especially Asian ones, it's believed that rhino horns are able to treat chronic diseases such as cancer.

That's why more and more people are willing to spend a lot of money buying rhino horns or powder from their horns.

Recently, customs officers at Noi Bai International Airport, Vietnam, have confiscated hundreds of kilos of rhino horns from an unknown dealer.

This is only one of the cases that were detected regarding rhino horn trade.

To address this atrocity, I would first suggest there should be serious methods of punishment for the transport and trade of rhino horns.

The conservation and expansion of rhino species usually costs a lot of money.

So luckily there is an easy and practical way to protect rhinos, which is to donate money to rhino conservation organizations.

But we should go a step further and should launch anti-poaching campaigns that motivate people to stop hunters and dealers from hunting and trading rhino horns.

Lastly, to protect rhinos we need to improve people's awareness and knowledge.

There should be more scientific evidence dispersed showing that rhino horn powder doesn't help in curing diseases and people should therefore no longer use rhino products.

To sum up, these are four among numerous ways to protect rhinos from extinction.

Trong bài nói chuyện ngày hôm nay, tôi muốn trình bày một số cách để bảo vệ loài tê giác. Các bạn biết đấy, tê giác đang có nguy cơ bị tuyệt chủng do săn bắt hàng loạt để lấy sừng vì ở một số quốc gia, đặc biệt là ở các nước châu Á, người ta tin rằng sừng tê giác có khả năng chữa các bệnh mãn tính như ung thư. Đó là lý do tại sao ngày càng có nhiều người sẵn sàng chi rất nhiều tiền để mua sừng tê giác hoặc bột từ sừng tê giác. Gần đây, các nhân viên hải quan tại Sân bay Quốc tế Nội Bài, Việt Nam đã thu giữ hàng trăm kí sừng tê giác từ một người bán không rõ danh tính. Đây chỉ là một trong số rất nhiều vụ việc được phát hiện liên quan đến mua bán sừng tê giác. Để xử lý hành vi độc ác này, trước tiên tôi gợi ý nên có những biện pháp nghiêm khắc để trừng trị hành vi vận chuyển hoặc mua bán sừng tê giác. Việc bảo vệ và nhân rộng loài tê giác thường tiêu tốn nhiều tiền. Nên thật may khi có một cách thực tế và thật dễ dàng để bảo vệ những chú tê giác, đó là quyên góp tiền cho các tổ chức bảo tồn tê giác. Nhưng chúng ta nên có bước tiến xa hơn và nên mở các chiến dịch chống săn bắn điều này có thể khuyến thích mọi người ngăn chặn những thợ săn và dân buôn thực hiện hành vi săn bắn và buôn bán sừng tê giác. Cuối cùng là để bảo vệ những chú tê giác chúng ta cần nâng cao ý thức và kiến thức của người dân. Nên có nhiều bằng chứng khoa học được phát tán cho thấy rằng bột từ sừng tê giác không giúp chữa các bệnh, vì vậy mọi người không nên dùng các sản phẩm từ tê giác nữa.

Kết luận lại, trên đây là bốn trong số vô vàn cách để bảo vệ tê giác khỏi bị tuyệt chủng.
