Human beings have always been seen in a hovering contest among each other since time immemorial. Some people consider this tendency of comparison and copying one another to be even more profound in certain sectors such as fashion and consumer goods. I agree with this notion. In the paragraphs to follow, I shall be elucidating my perspectives on this school of thought.
This practice of comparing, juxtaposition, and then superimposition has been a general disposition of human beings, and they relentlessly keep on imitating each other in various streams of life. The areas of fashion, consumer durables, and confectionery items usage are the most pronounced among all other areas of competition and comparison. The major reason for this is the showing-off and the sense of animosity associated with it. In addition to that, the sublime sense of superiority and inferiority has aggravated this emulation and aping of each other. These materialistic aspects are often seen in the highest regard by the people today, and the cases of people going all the way beyond their capacities to get in sync with the trends are rife.
Other instances of people copying and aping one another are primarily spotted in the cases of the brands and companies. Right from the dress one dons to the wallet one carries or the branded shoes one sets one’s feet into, everything is seen enveloping the sense of comparison. This causes huge indirect comparison and emulation amongst people. Moreover, this has been the major driving force for the brands and items to proliferate, and this has been the primary cause for their plain sailing. In addition to that, the sales offers, discount promos, and buyer’s persona have all been germinated through the seed of copying each other that yet again buds from the competition of materialistic possessions.
Some people would say that such copying and contrasting is also seen in other streams other than fashion and consumer durables. However, such cases are more defined in the streams of fad and fashion.
Conclusively, we may thus say that people copy each other to a great extent and tend to break free of their intellectual capabilities to make themselves parallel to others’ set standards.

The paradigm shift is responsible for the propensity of the masses to imitate others such as their clothes, hairstyles and footwear; resultantly, it has increased the demand for fashionable clothes as well as other useful items. I thoroughly agree with it because the masses remain updated as well as manufacturers also get huge profits.
To begin with, the masses follow each other because they want to keep themselves abreast of the outer world. To elaborate, when they see the others are wearing unique attires, and this has groomed their personality; then, they blindly copy them to be like them. Also, to be praised by others stimulates them to imitate them. For instance, nowadays, the clothes that are being worn by film stars are high in demand. Every piece of cloth and footwear is being sold like hotcakes. People become compulsive buyers, and this tendency to copy others could be seen everywhere. Individuals bring modifications in their outlook and also are full of superiority complex. In addition, manufacturers also get huge profits because of demand for certain products increase. They know that people would buy those items which are used more by celebrities. They make use of it, and sometimes the demand increases and supply decreases.
In addition, shopping websites and advertisements also enhance the demand for consumer items. When anything is displayed to consumers by exaggerating its benefits; then, the demand for those products escalates. To exemplify it, people who are suffering from some complexes such as inferiority complex, it may be due to their short stature as well as a dark colour, they are targeted more. They bring transformations in their appearance by wearing stylish clothes and using effective face washes, creams. People feel more confident and positive about themselves. Consequently, manufacturers attain a huge profit.
To conclude, thus, in consideration of the above analysis, it is ostensible that multitude imitates others to keep themselves updated as well as getting rid of irrational fears about their colour complexion as well as short stature.

Some have suggested that the popularity of specific consumer trends evidences a natural human inclination to copy one another. In my opinion, this is largely true though there are other potential practical explanations.
Those who oppose this belief argue that imitation is rooted in reason. There are legitimate practical justifications to follow others. If a product such as a new smartphone is popular, then that is evidence it is a quality item. In this way, people are copying on a rational basis, not out of an inborn human desire. Moreover, popular items are likely cheaper and more widely available. A trendy pair of jeans made by Levy’s, for instance, is produced in the millions and stocked in department stores around the world. Individuals will encounter these jeans frequently and their purchase is simply a matter of convenience.
However, I believe that copying others satisfies a deeper human drive to feel part of a larger group. The natural tendency of humans to congregate also compels them to adopt similar customs and habits. Imitation shows that there is commonality and eases the fear of otherness. For example, Apple has built their brand based on the power of an inclusive community of like-minded users. By joining such an ecosystem, people are no longer isolated and feel part of a larger whole that elevates their individual self-esteem and protects them from other groups. Humans do not now face significant physical threats from nature but the desire to copy one another in order to join a modern-day tribe persists in contemporary consumer culture.
In conclusion, the popularity of similar consumer items illustrates an underlying need in humans to imitate one another in order to feel safe and accepted. This is not necessarily a negative insight though it should be managed carefully by individuals.

Human beings are social animals; hence, they constantly need to interact through whatever form of media they can to provide their basic needs of clothes, food and housing. Interestingly, doing exactly what others do has made fashion clothes and food items more readily available. This essay will agree with this line of thought for the following reasons.
Generally, people lack originality and, as a result of this laziness, tend to do exactly what others do. This copy-and-paste syndrome in the clothing and food industry is happening all over the world. For example, a tomato company sprung up in Jos, Nigeria, to reduce the wastage of tomatoes after harvest as a result of the unavailability of processing facilities. In the same year, another company was doing exactly the same thing. The question as to why another consumer’s good or time was not considered leaves reason to doubt their creativity. This has given rise to seeing the same kind of food products and fashion clothes everywhere you go.
In another light, people also do this for profit-making. Once it is evident that a particular consumer good or fashion apparel is doing good numbers in the economy, people go ahead into mass-production without paying attention to the after-effect, which includes seeing the same type of product all over the world.
In conclusion, copying people’s ideas is not bad; sometimes, there is room for improvement, but lacking diversity can make life very boring. As they say, variety is the spice of life and doing exactly the same thing as others do as per fashion items and consumer goods leads to excess.

In this day and age, fashion has been flourishing significantly the world over. It is often witnessed that most humans follow trends like fashion, status, and consumer goods to make a luxurious lifestyle. This essay agrees with the nation; however, both viewpoints will be analysed in the upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost factor is learning new things when copied to another person. It is because individuals are easy to attract with new things. In fact, they also want to live rich. So, most humans follow clothes, lifestyle, or goods. Also, they are motivated by the singers’ and actors’ lifestyles. And then, they work hard to get these things. Several studies have clear-cut proof that almost 70 per cent of people learn fashion skills from social media because they are easy to infuse.
Another pertinent reason is the masses feel luxurious when they get the brand product. In fact, their confidence will be high in society. It would not be erroneous to say that when people wear the brand product or goods, their confidence level is high, and they feel rich. For example, BBC conducted a survey in an American College where 60% of students said they feel rich when carrying Apple products or branded clothes. As a result, product advertisement is also increased in society when people always carry.
On the contrary, despite the benefits of this phenomenon, it has a few drawbacks too. Firstly, everyone does not get the original copy of the product, so sometimes they feel sad, and they cannot enjoy the present time. Individuals are easy to follow the social side, and they carry to buy the product, but they lose many other things in life. And they do other negative activities to buy this product, like snatching and crime. To cite an example, in India, the crime rate is increased due to earning money in a short time by snatching.
Having a delta, with this subject in some detail, it can be concluded that following the trend is a good way to learn new things in life but do not try to earn short-term money to buy the goods.

It is undeniable that in this 21st century, everyone follows different personalities either they follow clothing sense or buy goods by watching them. I strongly agree with this statement. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I intend to discuss some views regarding this approach along with my opinion.
To embark on, it is commonly seen that in this modern era, everyone follows different trends like fashion. The first and foremost point is that there are the majority of reasons why follow new trends regarding clothing, like they wear fashionable clothes as well as they follow some actors and singers whom they admire. They follow them, and they are motivated by their role models. Once their models started wearing different attires, they supported them and wore the same stocks. Apart from this, some people individuals want to purchase different brands of products and vehicles. By watching their stars, they copy them.
On the other hand, there are other things besides fashion and goods. Firstly, sometimes people copy other lifestyles and hard work. To explicate, half of the generation follows successful people and gets inspired by them, and it encourages the local public to do hard work to get the best position in life as well as follow the lifestyle so that they can live a better life.
To recapitulate, I would like to reiterate that most people like to follow superstars’ fashions and are encouraged to buy devices their stars use. Others like to do hard work so that they live a better life in the future.

Fashion and goods are becoming more similar between brands. Some people think that manufacturers are copying ideas of each other in such products while others claim that this is hardly necessarily reflected mostly in fashion and goods. I believe that in any field, people can copy from others and sometimes, fashion and consumer goods are far from easy imitation.
First of all, it is thought that copying the style of fashion and goods is easier than other types of imitation. Just a glance at design is sufficient enough to provide other competitive brands to follow and manufacture right after the original item comes into being. Nevertheless, people's desire is to enjoy products with good appearance and quality at the same time. Despite the copying trend of outstanding appearance, if the quality of products is below expectation of consumers, for instance, short durability and high price, the latter ones will shun away these items soon.
Second of all, people mostly need goods in their daily life. The rate of consumption in daily goods adds up to billions of dollars for producers, which motivates them to copy each other. Yet, when it involves the assembly line and advanced technological applications, it is far from easy-to-follow suit. Technological goods need expertise, significant investment and long-term research. Hence, though goods may look like each other, they are rarely products of pure emulation and mass- consumed. Chinese products, for instance, in spite of being believed to be of lower price and copy others in the world, are still not as attractive as original ones as created in America and Japan due to their unfashionable design and short-time durability. In addition, copying trend is noticeable in other fields. In art, the musical style of one nation borrows greatly from that of other countries to enrich cultural heritage of each nation while products of high intellectuality such as writing styles are somehow similar to each other. Even in choice of life, when a person has little inkling about what he or she does in life, it is more likely that he or she will travel the same journey as predecessors to be on the safe side. When it comes to work environment where competition is higher, to ingratiate oneself with bosses, employees are possible to copy ideas of others, which actually proves easier than to imitate the complicated business models to generate fashion designs or consumer goods.
