Many people believe young people should be required to do two weeks of compulsory work for the community every year (such as street cleaning, planting trees or helping old people). There are arguments both for and against this rule.

One of the arguments for introducing compulsory community service for young people is enhancing a sense of civic responsibility and community spirit in young people. For example, by working together on projects that benefit the community, young people would learn the value of cooperation, hard work, and helping others, which could be an opportunity for them to learn new skills and gain valuable work experience. Additionally, such a program could help to address some of the social and environmental issues facing our communities, such as litter or deforestation.

On the other hand, some young people may feel uncomfortable and resentful when forced to do work they do not want to do. In addition, they suppose that mandatory community service is an infringement on personal freedom and individual choice, which could lead to a negative attitude towards community service and make it less likely that they will volunteer in the future.

Personally, I am in favour of introducing compulsory community service in two weeks for young people every year because it helps themselves and also solve community issues. However, I think it is important to ensure that young people are given a choice of community service projects to work on, and they are adequately supported and rewarded for their efforts.

There is a view that teenagers should be engaged in unpaid jobs in a community. I completely disagree with this idea. Below are some reasons to support my view.

The main duties of young people would be receiving education. They should study hard to raise their chances of attending universities and finding a job later. Then it seems that they need to take rest in their idle time when preparing to start a new season. It is very likely to see that they won’t welcome being involved in free-paid jobs. Teenagers in fact require to enjoy times when they are young. If they were obliged to take part in unpaid jobs, they would feel they are losing their youth. And this would cause some psychological problems in their future life.

The second reason why this idea is not practical is that this view is against the values of a free society. In such a society people regardless of age are free to take part in certain jobs especially when there is no money to pay. Even if those people are obliged to carry out those tasks, because of lack of interest they will not complete their duties properly. This may bring teenagers into conflict with people working with them.

To sum up, I believe that due to the fact that human beings have a deep hatred of compulsory tasks, this idea is not practical to establish in a community. Young people should be free to choose what type of activities they tend to do.

Many young people work on a volunteer basis, and this can only be beneficial for both the individual and society as a whole. However, I do not agree that we should therefore force all teenagers to do unpaid work.

Most young people are already under enough pressure with their studies, without being given the added responsibility of working in their spare time. School is just as demanding as a full-time job, and teachers expect their students to do homework and exam revision on top of attending lessons every day. When young people do have some free time, we should encourage them to enjoy it with their friends or to spend it doing sports and other leisure activities. They have many years of work ahead of them when they finish their studies.

At the same time, I do not believe that society has anything to gain from obliging young people to do unpaid work. In fact, I would argue that it goes against the values of a free and fair society to force a group of people to do something against their will. Doing this can only lead to resentment amongst young people, who would feel that they were being used, and parents, who would not want to be told how to raise their children. Currently, nobody is forced to volunteer, and this is surely the best system.

In conclusion, teenagers may choose to work for free and help others, but in my opinion, we should not make this compulsory.

There is a debate about whether all young people should be required to do two weeks of community work every year, such as street cleaning, planting trees, or helping old people. This essay will look at what might happen if this rule is introduced, how young people might feel about it, if it would make them more responsible, and if there are better ways to get young people to help their community.

If young people have to do two weeks of community work each year, there could be good and bad outcomes. On the positive side, communities might become cleaner and greener because more people will help with street cleaning and tree planting. Older people might get more help and feel less lonely. Also, young people might feel more connected to their community and learn to care about it more.

However, there could be problems too. Organizing and managing this program would take a lot of work and money. Making sure all young people can participate without messing up their school or other activities might be tricky. If young people feel forced to do this work, they might not do it well or might resent it.

Young people might have different feelings about this rule. Some might like the chance to help out and learn new things. They might enjoy meeting new people and making a difference in their community. For these young people, doing community work might be a positive experience.

But others might not like being forced to do this work. They might feel it takes away their free time and adds to their busy schedules. These young people might see it as a chore and not put much effort into it.

Doing compulsory community work could help make students more responsible. It can teach them the importance of helping others and taking care of their environment. They might learn new skills like teamwork and time management, which are useful in life.

However, making community work compulsory might not always work as intended. If young people see it as just another rule to follow, they might not take it seriously. The program needs to be interesting and show young people the positive impact they can make.

There might be better ways to encourage young people to help their community without making it compulsory. One idea is to include community service as part of school activities and give students credit or recognition for their efforts. Schools could organize fun and social events for community service, making it something students look forward to.

Another idea is to support projects led by young people, where they can choose what they want to do to help their community. This can make the experience more meaningful and enjoyable. Offering rewards or recognition for community service can also motivate young people to get involved.

In conclusion, while making community work compulsory for young people has some benefits, it also has challenges and might not be well-received by everyone. It can help young people become more responsible, but it might feel like a burden to some. In my opinion, encouraging voluntary community service through school programs, supporting youth-led projects, and offering rewards is a better approach. This way, young people can choose to help their community in ways that are meaningful to them and feel more motivated to make a positive impact.

The idea of making young people do two weeks of compulsory community work each year, such as street cleaning, planting trees, or helping the elderly, is widely debated. This essay will explore the possible outcomes, how young people might feel, whether it would make them more responsible, and if there are better ways to encourage community involvement.

Introducing this rule could lead to cleaner streets, more trees, and better care for the elderly, improving communities overall. However, organizing these activities would be challenging and costly. Additionally, if young people feel forced, their lack of enthusiasm could impact the quality of their work.

Reactions would vary. Some might enjoy contributing and feel proud of their efforts. Others might see it as an extra burden, leading to resentment and lackluster participation.

Compulsory work could teach students the value of giving back and foster a sense of responsibility. However, responsibility is more meaningful when it comes from genuine motivation rather than obligation.

Encouraging community work through school programs and offering incentives like awards or scholarships could be more effective. This approach allows students to choose projects they care about and feel motivated to participate in.

While compulsory community work for young people has potential benefits, it also has significant challenges and might not be well-received. Encouraging voluntary community service through school programs and incentives is a better approach, allowing young people to choose meaningful projects and feel more motivated to contribute positively to their communities.
