Some people believe that sports competitions are a source of emotional stress for young people - mẫu 1

The notion that sports competitions inevitably lead to emotional stress for young people, guaranteeing a complete ban on their participation, is a misconception that fails to acknowledge the numerous benefits they provide. While it is true that competitive sports can generate pressure and anxiety, these are often outweighed by the positive impacts on physical, mental, and social development.

Firstly, competitive sports can instill valuable life skills and foster resilience in young people. The pressure to perform and the potential for failure in competitions can act as a catalyst for developing coping mechanisms and building resilience. Learning to manage stress, overcome setbacks, and persevere in the face of adversity are essential skills that will benefit young people throughout their lives, both on and off the field. Moreover, competitive sports promote teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic, qualities that are highly valued in all aspects of life.

Furthermore, participating in sports competitions can contribute significantly to a young person’s physical and mental well-being. Engaging in regular physical activity is essential for promoting physical health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Moreover, sports can boost self-esteem, improve mood, and reduce stress levels. The endorphin rush experienced during exercise can have a positive impact on mental health, providing a sense of accomplishment and well-being.

In conclusion, while sports competitions can certainly generate pressure and anxiety for young people, the potential for stress should not be viewed as an insurmountable obstacle. The numerous benefits of participation, including the development of essential life skills, improved physical and mental well-being, and the fostering of social connections, far outweigh the potential downsides. Therefore, banning young people from participating in sports competitions would be a detrimental decision that would deprive them of invaluable opportunities for growth and development.

I completely disagree with the parochial notion that youngsters should not be permitted to play sports as competition makes them emotionally stressed. There are a number of arguments that support my view, which I will be putting forth in the upcoming paragraphs.

Tacitly, there are numerous benefits of competing in sports. Such competitions promote skills like self-confidence, team spirit, developing strategies, overcoming obstacles and so on. Admittedly there is a feeling of competitiveness that can cause some amount of emotional stress. However, that is not just limited to the field of sports. Competition is there in every aspect of life, starting with school life and continuing onto when we start working. Rather sports events teach the youth how to overcome challenges, accept failures and keep trying to succeed, which helps them overcome obstacles in their lives as well.

To add to it, sport is a very popular career option for many youngsters. Through the state-level and national-level sporting competitions, the best of the talent can be identified. These youngsters can then move on to competing at an international level and bring name and fame to the country. The government also provides job opportunities to the sport laureates. Furthermore, such competitions promote harmony when people and teams from different cultures, countries and backgrounds compete with one another and strengthen relationships.

The proponents of the view that the youth should not be permitted to participate in sport competitions say that the pressures of winning are too demanding for the players and lead to deleterious consequences, like the win-at-all-cost attitude, not being able to accept failure, drug abuse for better performance, etc. However, this kind of stress is faced by children every day at schools and competing in sports only helps them become more confident and tough enough to face the challenges they face in their personal and professional lives.

To sum up, the children and the youth should be encouraged to participate in sport competitions, to promote their overall development and to inculcate in them life skills, like self-confidence, sportsmanship spirit, feeling of fraternity and many more. I am certain when done in a purposeful and developmentally appropriate manner, which places the needs of the children well ahead of winning, competitive sports can and should be a great experience for kids.

Playing and competing in sports is a very common activity in any young person’s life. Some people opine to not let youth participate in sports competitions as the stress of competing might affect them emotionally. Although this doesn’t seem very logical, this essay shall elaborate both these views and present a personal stand.

There is no doubt that there is a high amount of tension involved in and around sports competitions. Every participant is under tremendous pressure to win the tournament. Experienced sportsmen may be used to such pressure and intensity, but the young players may not be. They might be heavily disheartened if they lose any match, which might take a toll on their confidence and mental condition. Not to mention, the media sometimes makes a big deal out of every victory and defeat, so as to make the sportsman feel more harassed and stressed about his performance. This is why the people who believe youth should be banned from participating in sports competitions say so.

In disagreement, I believe sports competitions make a young person stronger and determined in life. Competitions teach us how to accept defeat gracefully. They teach us how to work in pressurized conditions, giving our best outcome. Competitions assess our level of expertise and motivate us to keep excelling in our field of sport. Sure, nobody likes to lose, but I do not believe defeat can make anyone too stressed to participate at all. If given proper guidance while training – physical as well as psychological – the youth might not be as troubled by stress of competitions as it is being depicted. There are emotional setbacks in every phase of life; banning oneself from facing the situation is not the answer.

To sum up, I disagree with youth being banned from taking part in sports competitions. There would not be any fear of youth suffering from emotional stress in sports competitions if they are given proper psychological training also, enabling them to handle stress effectively.

While competition almost always has an inherent degree of stress associated with it, this is not always necessarily a negative thing. In fact, it can be used to develop essential life skills in young people. Prohibiting young people from participating in sports competitions would seem to be a misguided idea at best, and possibly extremely damaging, for the long-term development of youth.

Young people naturally learn about the concept of competition from many aspects of their daily lives. From watching their favorite soccer team or following the most popular music artist; the concepts of ‘the best’, ‘the most popular’ or ‘the most successful’ all carry with them the spirit of competing against others in order to become better than others, in whichever field.

Therefore, there is little evidence that prohibiting young people from competing in sports events would be a positive move in terms of their development as individuals. Apart from this, if the objection is that sports competitions are a source of emotional stress and the aim is to reduce the amount of stress that young people experience, then it would also make sense to prohibit young people from taking academic exams and other such tests, which effectively are a competition, and very likely are a greater source of stress than any sport they might be involved in. Moreover, importantly, most academic testing is compulsory in most countries whereas participation in sports competitions is entirely voluntary; therefore, the concept appears to be flawed from the outset.

In addition, an integral part of growing up is learning how to become a well-rounded and productive member of society and acquire the necessary life skills to thrive in the adult world. As many aspects of adult life involve an element of competition, from competing to obtain employment, a promotion, or even distinguish yourself in your career, it would seem senseless to try and shield youngsters from the fact that competitive stress is a part of life, and in fact can be a motivating factor to excel and do well in life.

In conclusion, personally, I feel that the notion of a ban on young people participating in competitive sports events is not in the best interests of young people in general and has little overall merit.

Sports are inevitably the most important category among most young people. Some of the masses are convinced that participation in championships is only harmful to the development of youth; at the same time, others believe that adolescence under the pressure of events is necessary for future progress. My insight is that youth should be encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to train while competing with other young athletes.

Sports undoubtedly bring enormous benefits. Firstly, they encourage children's determination and aspirations. Under the pressure of competition, youth can not only get the opportunity to brush up on their athletic skills, but also improve their problem-solving skills. For example, basketball players will never be able to realize their potential without matches with other players. In addition, competitions force offspring to become accustomed to a healthier life. Ultimately, this will give them the incentive to be more responsible, self-disciplined and have precious goals in this earthly life.

It is important to teach teenagers to be fully accepted by society, and competitive sports is perhaps the most pragmatic method. The experience and problem-solving skills that are carefully trained during matches will become a liability when young students are given more responsibilities as they grow. Thinking logically is essential in any aspect of life, which can be trained through the contest of chess or checkers.  For example, children who have experience in playing chess appear to perform better at Math and qualitative analysis than normal students. To sum up, halting offspring from attending contests is nothing but inhibiting them from becoming more consummate adults.

In conclusion, we note that the participation of adolescents in sports competitions is very important for the overall development of children. Therefore, the government and education systems should conduct more activities and competitions to improve future results.

It is believed by some that participation in competitive sports creates mental stress among the youth, and so they should be forbidden to take part in sports competitions. While competitive sports can cause some stress, I believe that sports competitions are essential for young people and teach them important life skills.

Admittedly, there is a feeling of competitiveness that can cause some amount of emotional stress. Sometimes the pressures of winning are too demanding for the players and lead to deleterious consequences, like the win-at-all-cost attitude, not being able to accept failure, drug abuse for better performance, etc.

However, competition is not just limited to the field of sports. It is there in every aspect of life, starting with school life, and continuing onto when people start working. Sports competitions teach the youth how to overcome challenges, accept failures and keep trying to succeed, which helps them overcome other obstacles in their lives as well. Such competitions also promote skills like self- confidence, team spirit, developing strategies, overcoming obstacles, and so on.

To add to it, sport is a very popular career option for many youngsters. Through the state-level and national-level sporting competitions, the best of the talent can be identified. There are different views about taking part in sport competitions. Some say that sport competitions are too stressful a process, and it should be banned for young people. I do not agree that young people’s sport competitions should be prohibited. In this essay, I will spell out the reasons why I disagree with this statement.

To begin with, sports activities enable children to be healthy and keep fit. Especially, children can find interest in sports activities by competing games with other people such as baseball or soccer games. Sport competitions allow youth to keep taking part in sports and maintain them to be healthy physically and mentally. For example, baseball or soccer games are based on team competitions. While young people are playing these games with others, they can learn teamwork and cooperation. Even though one person is the best performer in the team, they cannot win the game without teamwork and other people’s help. Children will understand this process naturally while they are participating in sport competitions.

Secondly, sport competitions encourage young people to succeed. Winning or losing is the natural process in life. Children can acquire this process by competing in sports games with others. If they lost the game, it could be new stimulation that makes them practice harder. Youth can make better scores when they compete with others. For instance, if they run alone, they might feel exhausted quickly and it will affect their result. By competing with other pupils, they can motivate each other. As a result, it will boost the young’s capabilities, and it will be beneficial for them to achieve their aims.

In conclusion, although sport competitions can be stressful activities for young people, I strongly believe that it should not be banned because these have more benefits for them. Young children can learn teamwork and the way to step forward for their future through the sport competitions.

While it’s true that sport competitions can be intense and may evoke emotional stress in some individuals, advocating for a ban on youth participation seems like an extreme measure. I disapprove of the idea as engaging in sports competitions offers numerous benefits that contribute to the overall development and well-being of young people and prepare them to wear the stress of life.

Firstly, sports competitions provide an avenue for physical activity, promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping combat the rising issues of sedentary behavior and obesity among the youth. Regular physical exercise has been linked to improved cardiovascular health, enhanced motor skills, and increased overall fitness. Banning youth from sports competitions might deprive them of these essential health benefits.

Secondly, participation in sports fosters important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. In a competitive environment, young athletes learn how to collaborate with others, follow rules, and cope with both victories and defeats. These experiences contribute to their personal growth and help build character, preparing them for the challenges they may face later in life.

Moreover, sports competitions can be a source of joy, motivation, and a sense of achievement for young individuals. The thrill of competition often acts as a powerful motivator, encouraging them to set goals, work hard, and strive for excellence. The satisfaction of reaching a personal or team goal can have a positive impact on their self-esteem and confidence.

Lastly, banning youth from sports competitions might inadvertently lead to a decrease in overall interest in physical activities. By fostering a competitive spirit, we encourage a culture of active living and healthy competition, which can have a positive ripple effect on society as a whole.

To recapitulate, instead of an outright ban, a more balanced approach involves ensuring that sports competitions are structured in a way that prioritizes the well-being of young participants.
