I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. Knowledge and skills
- use “I have a_____.” to talk about possession.
- sing a song with the structure “I have a_______.”
2. Competences
- Communication and collaboration: work in pairs and groups to complete the learning tasks
- Self-control & independent learning: perform listening task, singing
3. Attributes
- Show confidence in performing a rap by using appropriate gestures and intonation when singing the song.

III. PROCEDURES
1. WARM-UP & REVIEW (5 mins)
a. Objectives:
- To create a friendly and lively atmosphere in the classroom.
b. Content:
- Find the pair of cards. / Let’s chant.
c. Expected outcomes:
- Pupils can recall vocabulary from Unit 2 by playing Find the pair of cards game and do actions with the teacher confidently.

* Option 1: Find the pair of cards. (ppt) - Have pupils choose 2 numbers and find the picture hidden under the number. If they are the same, you can open them. If not, close the numbers and have pupils guess again. - After opening all the numbers, have pupils chant the verse relating to the pictures. * Option 2: Let’s chant - Greet the class. Encourage pupils to respond to your greeting. - Ask pupils to clap hands when say the chant - Get pupils to open their books and look at Lesson 3, page 11 (saying Open the books and look at Lesson 3, please!). |

2. ACTIVITY 6: KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION (10 mins)

- Pupils will be able to listen and repeat the sentence “I have a car.”
b. Content:

- Pupils can say the sentences correctly and confidently.

Step 1: Have pupils look at the picture, saying Look at the picture, please! What’s in his hand? Yes, it’s a car. He has a car. He says “I have a car.” Now listen and repeat, please! Play the recording for pupils to listen. Explain the meaning of the sentence and how it is used. Check comprehension. Step 2: Play the recording several times again for pupils to listen and repeat the sentence, saying Now listen and repeat, please! Give support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. Step 3: Invite a few pupils to listen and repeat the sentence “I have a car.” in front of the class. Correct their pronunciation, if necessary or praise them if they pronounced the sentence correctly, saying Very well! |
- Look at the picture and answer the questions. - Look at the sentence and listen to the teacher. - Listen and repeat several times. - Listen and repeat in front of the class. - Say the sentences in front of the class. |

3. ACTIVITY 7: PRACTICE (10 mins)
a. Objectives:
- Pupils will be able to express their possession, using “I have a _____.”
b. Content:
- Activity 7. Let’s talk.
c. Expected outcomes:
- Pupils can express their possession using “I have a _____.” confidently and correctly with other words they’ve known.

Step 1: Have pupils look at the bubble to understand how the language is used (I have a _____.). Explain the meaning of the sentence, if necessary. Step 2: Have pupils look at the first picture. Say Look at Picture a, please! Point to the car and ask them, saying What is this? Tell them that It’s a car. Then point to the bubble and the car and say I have a car. Step 3: Ask pupils to say the sentence “I have a car.” in chorus and individually (Now, point to Picture a and say “I have a car”). If they said the sentence correctly, praise them Well done! Correct pronunciation, if necessary. Step 4: Follow the same procedure with Pictures b, c, d. Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task, if necessary. Step 5: Ask a few pupils to point to the pictures and say “I have a _____.”, saying Now practise saying what you have. Offer help, if necessary. Step 6: Invite some pairs of pupils to practise pointing to the pictures or flashcards and say what they have in front of the class. Praise them, saying Excellent! if they performed well. |

4. ACTIVITY 8: PRACTICE (10 mins)
a. Objectives:
- Pupils will be able to sing a song with the structure “I have a______.”.
b. Content:
- Activity 8. Let’s sing.
c. Expected outcomes:
- Pupils can sing the song with correct pronunciation, natural tune/ rhythm and sweet melody.

Step 1: Have pupils read the lyrics (in their books or hoclieu.vn) to familiarize themselves with the first verse of the song. Say Now look at the first verse, please! Explain the meanings of the verse, if necessary (as mentioned in Input). Check comprehension. Step 2: Play the recording several times for pupils to repeat line after line to make sure that they can sing the verse correctly. Say Now listen and repeat, please! Step 3: Follow the same procedure with other lines. Correct pronunciation and the tune, the rhythm and the melody of the first verse of the song, if necessary. Step 4: Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, to sing and clap their hands. Offer help, if necessary. If they sang well, praise them Excellent! Step 5: Invite some pupils to sing the song in front of the class. The rest of the class sings along and claps their hands to reinforce the tune, the rhythm and the melody. Go around and offer help, if necessary. |

There are two verses in the song. The first verse includes the sentences “I have a cup./I have a car.” and “I have a cup and I have a car.” In the second verse, the sentences “I have a cake./ I have a cat.” and “I have a cake and I have a cat.” are introduced. |
