A person’s allure is highly influenced by these factors as the concept of beauty is defined by these ads. Consciously or subconsciously, these leave a perennial impression on viewers’ minds, urging them to buy these products. The individual always tries to be the person in the advert and loses the identity of their own. In the forthcoming paragraphs I shall explain my point of view and give supporting reasons.
To begin with, different types of advertisements are there, and all of them are intended at producing ratings for the product. Most of the adverts are false and misleading, and this makes the people lose their uniqueness and develop some other temperament. They lose their esse and become a copy-paste of the person shown in the ad. Several regrettable events have taken place as a result of immoral publicity.
There exists a lot of positive potential in advertising, but the fact is that people are taking it in a manner that is incompatible. Everything has pros and cons, but the way we perceive it is totally dependent on us. The people who make ads have only one thing in mind, and that is the marketing of the product and the profit. They always focus on the promotion of their commodities for a desirable outcome and the people blindly follow their lead and they are not bothered about their uniqueness and charm.
Even though advertisements perform a vital role in our progress, losing individuality and trying to be someone else is a serious issue.
In conclusion, advertisements do play an integral role in defining the current trends in the modern day market. In my opinion though, the way that the common folk perceive such advertisements may differ from person to person and similarly the influence. Therefore, it is highly important that these advertisements are used both effectively and logically to maximise the customer choices and not as a ploy to deceive the customer with false propaganda.

Today, the advertising campaigns of multinational companies such as Unilever have been so successful that their products almost dominate the market. Smaller enterprises tend not to be able to compete with these giant market leaders due to their disadvantages of capital poured into advertising programs. Thus, customers are often swayed to buy products of famous brands rather than those made by less well-known companies.
On the other hand, it is also true that people tend to copy others’ lifestyles without being affected by advertising. For example, it is valid to argue that many young people are trying to emulate their idols’ fashion styles. Many manage to purchase the same clothes, dye their hair, and wear the same perfume as their stars do. People can also turn to their social relations for advice when they need to buy something. For instance, junior citizens usually ask their friends before they come to a final decision on buying a smartphone.
In conclusion, advertising has indeed the gap between each individual’s lifestyle in modern society. However, I believe that it is not the sole factor that contributes to the trend.

It is sometimes thought that advertisements result in people becoming increasingly similar and that they discourage individuality. In my opinion, advertising certainly does promote conformity amongst certain people, but most people will always make their own individual choices which will make them appear different.
The role of advertising is to promote products in a way that encourages people to buy them and this in turn means that people inevitably end up buying the same things and appearing the same. This is particularly true of the fashion industry which tells followers of fashion what colours to wear in which seasons, what styles of clothes they should wear and even the length of their hair. The adverts put pressure on young people to look fashionable by following looks which have been planned by the fashion industry. As a result, those who are easily influenced by fashion trends will tend to appear more similar and with less individuality in an attempt to be considered fashionable.
However, the wish to appear fashionable and follow fashion trends with strict conformity only applies to a certain group of young "trendy" people. For others, fashion trends are interesting but not something that should be followed religiously. For instance, while some of them may choose to follow the fashionable colour that season, they may prefer a different hair style which is more suited to their own face shape or character. Consequently, although some aspects of their dress may be similar, the majority of what they wear and how they wear it is different and shows their individual character.
In conclusion, although fashion victims follow trends and may appear similar, they are in the minority as most people prefer to select what they wear and how they look for themselves.

Today more and more individuals get enticed by different brands and want to look exactly as in the display. Therefore, rather than looking different, people opt for looking alike. However, I firmly disagree with such an occurrence. My preference is explained in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, the first and foremost reason for my inclination is that products that people go after are just to attract individuals as they are advised by celebrities, and this is the major reason for people buying branded products which will indirectly surge the net profit of that particular product. For example, Madhuri Dixit is a brand endorsement of Olay brand which is applied on the face to remove dark circles, wrinkles and most importantly, to look ageless. However, instead of looking young and beautiful, some people end up having redness and peeling of skin on their face, and therefore individuals should immediately stop using such products with side effects. Moreover, people make the baseless decision to follow some well-known personalities.
On the other hand, it cannot be disregarded that this is not a case because of aggressive marketing; but the mass production of some industries is to blame. Few companies like H and M, Walmart, and Costco reduce their price by producing their goods in bulk. A middle-class individual is bound to buy such products in order to keep their monthly budget low. The same fashion is just a mere coincidence, and it is not done intentionally at all.
To conclude, it can be observed that the promotions done by some industries have a huge impact on one’s mindset.

In this digital world, we are exposed to ads every now and then, some claim that such a case has made people have similar personalities. I bolster such an opinion; my position is explained further with valid examples.
To begin with, people nowadays hoard items in order to fit in with others as they think of a common way which the rest of the world follows due to heavy marketing. People are seen buying items with which they are not even comfortable, they are putting compliments from others above their own convenience. Tv, billboards and other such places we are surrounded with make up our thoughts the way the business owner wants. A certain brand of footwear was made famous because the company hired a famous actor to endorse the item. Even though their market value was high compared to its quality the sales of this product suggest otherwise. Times of India revealed that the average sales were around $1.2 billion.
On the other hand, there are people who opine that the marketing team just showcases their products while the choice of buying these items is always left to individuals. Supporters of these views debate that advertisements are published with the intention of just making people aware of the current products available. Marketing is an integral part of sales and according to these individuals, adverts are never used to mislead their customers. They add that such a scenario of drifting a huge mass to have similar looks and thoughts is not plausible.
To summarize, advertisements are essential for enhancing sales, yet the shortcomings of their influence on people should be considered. In this case, the government cannot force anyone, but it is our own responsibility not to be dragged towards these fake trends and false status.

There is no doubt that everyone’s unique personality can’t be completely changed by advertisements of any brand or personality.
To sum up, I would put forth that there are many negative effects of advertisement, and they are regulating our mindsets and thus, it must be controlled.

For decades, advertising has been shaping consumers' behaviours with several identical patterns and preventing us from making us a diversified society. A common practice is that marketers try to create new habits for customers who nonstop adopt new lifestyles' concepts. These habits then become the norms of modern life. For example, when people feel tired, they now get familiar with taking an energy drink like Redbull or Sting instead of water, which never happened in the past. As a result, modern citizens around the world, at present, love to wear clothes of Gucci, use an iPhone 6, take a Starbucks in the morning and go to McDonald's for lunch.
It is also clear that adverts often take advantage of the images of celebrities to make the audience conduct themselves in the same pattern. Because people usually take some superstars as their role models, letting them see ads involving these famous people would give rise to the desire to buy the same products or to react in the same ways. In other words, if they do not use those products, they might feel that they are just old-fashioned ones. For example, when Ho Ngoc Ha – a Vietnamese famous singer – becomes a representative for a cosmetic product, thousands of women immediately think of buying that product, not because of the quality of itself but the fact that they want to look like her.
In conclusion, the rise of advertising is an irresistible trend, and this movement apparently prevents everyone from being different individuals.

On behalf of advertising, it is important to note that most advertising is targeted at large groups of consumers. Although that advertising encourages us all to wear the same brand of clothes, to drink the same brand of soft drink, or to shop at the same retail store, the advertisers are well aware that people have multiple choices and will make buying decisions based on their individual preferences.
Although some people will succumb to the conformity encouraged by advertisers, most people still will buy a product or service mostly because it fits who they are and who they want to be. For example, a person might see a television commercial promoting a specific brand of athletic shoes that is being promoted by a popular professional basketball player.
The person viewing the advertisement might buy that brand or because they aspire to be like the professional athlete in the commercial. Nevertheless, it can be argued that the consumer still has the free will to determine whether he will buy or not buy those shoes.
Although advertising seems to encourage conformity and discourage individuality, people still have the free will to determine whether they will conform or not and whether they will buy a product or not. If a person wants to maintain their individuality in regard to using a specific product, they can certainly choose to use an alternative product.
