A. LÝ THUYẾT

Trạng từ chỉ tần suất (Adverb of frequency) là trạng từ dùng để diễn tả một thói quen, hành động và mức độ lặp đi lặp của thói quen hay hành động đó mà người nói muốn nhấn mạnh trong câu.

Khái niệm trạng từ chỉ tuần suất

Trạng từ chỉ tần suất (Adverb of frequency) là trạng từ diễn tả mức độ thường xuyên của một hành động.

Vị trí đứng của trạng từ chỉ tần suất

- Đứng sau động từ “tobe”

Ví dụ: I am never late for school. (Tôi không bao giờ đi học trễ)

- Đứng trước động từ chính và đứng sau chủ từ

Ví dụ: He sometimes wash his car. (Anh ta thỉnh thoảng mới rửa xe)

- Đứng giữa trợ động từ và động từ chính trong câu

Ví dụ:

– I have never been abroad. (Tôi chưa bao giờ đi nước ngoài)

– You should usually do your homework before going to school. (Bạn nên làm bài tập về nhà trước khi đến lớp)

- Đứng ở đầu câu và cuối câu, vị trí này chỉ dành cho những trạng từ: usually, often và sometimes, khi trạng từ đứng ở đầu câu với mục đích nhấn mạnh ý của người nói.

Ví dụ:

– Sometimes my mother hang out with her friends. (Thỉnh thoàng mẹ tôi mới đi hóng gió với vài người bạn)
