Ngữ pháp cách sử dụng AS trong Tiếng Anh

1. Cách dùng 1: As có nghĩa là bởi vì

- Khác với Because, khi dùng As để giải thích lý do thì lý do đoc người nghe/ người độc đã biết rồi

VD:

As you failed the test, you will have to take the whole course again

( Vì bạn đã thi trượt, bạn phải học lại cả khóa học)

As Vietnam is next door to China, it has to be cautious with its foreign policies

( Vì Việt Nam nằm ngay sát bên giới Trung Quốc nên phải thận trọng với chính sách ngoại giao của mình)

2. Cách dùng 2: As có nghĩa là “ với tư cách là”

- Trong trường hợp này, sau As là một danh từ

VD:

He works in that hospital as a chief nurse

( Anh ấy làm việc ở bệnh viện này với cương vị là Y tá trưởng)

I am telling you this as a friend

( Tôi đang nói chuyện này với bạn với danh nghĩa là một người bạn)

3. Cách dùng 3: As có nghĩa là “ như”

- Với nghĩa “ như”, As được theo sau bởi một mệnh đề ( với chủ ngữ và vị ngữ)

VD:

As I said, English Grammar is not that difficult to understand

( Như tôi đã nói, ngữ pháp tiếng Anh thì không đến nỗi quá khó hiểu)

Please do as you are told

( Vui lòng làm y những gì bạn được bảo)

4. Cách dùng 4: As trong câu so sánh ngang bằng: as+ adj/ adv+ as…..

VD:

He is as tall as his father ( Anh ấy cao bằng bố của mình)

This task is not as easy as it looks ( Nhiệm vụ này nhìn tưởng dễ nhưng không dễ như vậy đâu)
